Northeast FReepers who were affected by Sandy, please check in here when/if you have power to let us know your status. Tell us what, if anything, you need so we can organize help or get help to you. If you can, share your story with us. Tell us how you weathered the storm, what the condition is of your house or property, loved ones, pets, neighbors, etc.
You're in our thoughts and prayers. If we can help in any way, let us know!
Franklinville, NJ
for myself & mkmensinger
No damage, only lost power for 15 minutes on Monday.
We’re OK.
I sent email to Dolly to see if she was in danger of flooding but have not heard.
I did hear from WVNan.
I will check to see if I have GeeBee’s phone number.
Good to hear all is well.
By all means give him a call.
I cant promise anything other than this fellow does stellar work and can do anything.
I would like very much for it all to work to satisfaction for all.
He would probably have to subcontract some heavy equipment, but you can trust him to oversee things as a general contractor.
All’s good, building an Ark cause it just won’t stop raining.
Also My Uncle, is a fixture here.

That could be a good source for heavy equipment
I pinged Gee Bee early on..no response..I think LI is without power.
Thanks for checking in, Mayor. praying that the rain will stop soon.
The phone number I have for GeeBee is no longer valid. I thought I had DollyCali’s number but I’ve lost it.
Praying for all affected by the ravages of Sandy.
Central NY State. We had some strong winds, but not really heavy rain. If there was flooding, it was in neighboring counties. Temperatures were in the 40’s and 50’s. We did lose power for about 2 hours sometime overnight Tuesday, but everything was back to normal the next day, and the sun was even out Wednesday morning when I go up. It’s been overcast most of the time since then, with rain, and we’re probably going to get some heavy, wet snow this weekend, but isn’t anything new for this area. We usually have snow before Halloween, but it didn’t happen this year.
Good deal! Glad things are OK, and may they continue to be thus.
Some of Long Island has no power, some is good. I don’t know where she is on LI. I will check on Do;;y via facebook, I don’t know GeeBee’s real name.
Found Dolly active on Face Book seems ok in Ohio.
Two I know for a fact are nearby my area are Stag and Neets.
Haven’t heard from either yet, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t or haven’t checked in at parts elsewhere.
I hear ya.
NE is Tax city.
Queens, NY, near LaGuardia and Flushing Bay.
No power since Monday night. I’m posting from the public library.
Oh, and BTW, on behalf of all the New Yawkers and Long Islanders like moi who don’t have power up and running yet, take note:
Obama hates white people!
;-)
God Bless!
Good!
Yes, Dolly is okay. I guess she had some high winds and some snow (that didn’t stick) but she didn’t mention any damage at her place. I did hear on FOX News that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame sustained some damage from the high winds. I know that is one of her favorite places and I think it is near where she lives.
I couldn’t remember if GeeBee was in LI or where she was, but I knew she was near where the storm came ashore. Hope she is okay.
I have heard from Gabz in coastal VA on facebook and she is okay too. :-)
