Sometimes houses fall on people for no reason. Ask Job about that.

This is a perfect example of the irrationality of religion. What evidence is there that this is some kind of punishment and not just a natural occurrence.

If we were under judgement the whole country would be destroyed. I suspect Sandy will be worse for Obama than anything else.

DO you REALLY think the creator of everything in the world would potentially KILL people because of a boycot?
Seek help. Now. Please, for your family's sake.

Opinions may vary, but I seriously doubt that a low Cat-1 (and weakening) storm is indicative of the wrath of the Creator. Just sayin’...

IMHO when God judges us, the judgment will be far far harsher than Sandy. Sandy wont be fun but I don't believe it will be anywhere near as bad as the media is hyping. For those in the path good luck. Prayers up.

If God were to judge America, wouldn’t He try to wipe out Hollywood and DC?
Just about every year some storm devastates some city in the South but that rarely gets much attention. Just let one hit the Northeast though and everybody goes bonkers. Yankees are just pussies is all. We Southerners take some of this every year and, other than New Orleans, just go about our business and clean it up for next time.

If you were selling DARPA or the Chinese weather machine, you would get more favorable responses.
God doesn’t send wind and weather to rip the roofs off suburban houses in New Jersey.
I think he’s a little more subtle than this.
However, if it keeps my wife from having to go to Philly at the end of the week, I will be praising HIM.

In the context of God’s hand in all things natural - I see His hand - but not for revenge.
God is reminding us to be prepared for tragedy - to help others in peril and to thank Him for surviving every day.
We are reminded to wonder at all His creations - from the smallest grain of sand to the highest seas.
Pray for everyone who is at risk today and every day.

This is nature, which has gone on since the beginning of time. This isn't God's judgement, but nature. God doesn't care about our politics, the UN, and other bullshit. He cares about our morals as people. This is the same bullshit I heard about idiots saying God supporting 9/11.

Why should hurricane Sandy be a judgment from God?
Didn’t He judge the nation in 2008 when He produced an abberation like Obama?
Apparently 50% of the American voters still don’t see the signs.
