And yet they have NOT exhibited any proof of his cheating.
No surprise, if he did break the rules I’d imagine everyone knew it. They knew it because they were cheating too.
The world of cycling is now breathing a sigh of relief....whispering “better him than me....”
Leave Lance alone!
So, the titles will go to other peole who cheated but weren’t caught?
Pure BS.
They have tainted their own sport to the point that it should no longer be recognised.
let them ride their bicycles to work, or for recreation, competition is now a joke.
He did the work to get 99.99% of the way. Doping is NOT what made him elite. I am unwilling to concede the point to USADA.
This reminds me of the ‘say it ain’t so, Sammy!’ when Sosa’s bat cracked and revealed a cork interior.
Sosa’s excuse was that it was a practice bat that got mixed in with the game bats.

Per a previous thread, it seemed that some 7 other riders who knew Armstrong were also using similar ‘enhancements’ or had direct knowledge that Armstrong was.
One of my goals in life was to have as many Tour de France titles as Lance Armstrong has.
YES!!! I guess I can now check THAT one off the ol’ bucket list! :-)
Cycling’s governing bodies need to own up to their inadequacy. If you impose rules on participants, you must have adequate and valid means for enforcing those rules. I am on the record as being ambivalent about PED use, and could probably even get behind the idea of its acceptance in all sports (provided no laws are broken).
Cycling’s enforcement regime is just riddled with problems. I think you either have to have a bright line definition (you test positive, you’re out), or don’t test or enforce at all.
Armstrong=Sociopath
This will teach athletes that individual accomplishment in sports is bad, that everyone deserves a first place medal, even if they come in last.
It’s not right that these ugly Americans kept winning a French race. They should have let others win. Therefore we will take away the winning after the fact, after coercing his team to turn on him or ban them as well.
“Everybody wins in the Tour de France, just like in the Special Olympics. Because all bicyclists are *special*, too.”
Not a big fan of Armstrong.
Still, it took them about 10 years? to finally pin something on him?
I think this is more about the French unable to deal with the idea of an American winning the TDF SEVEN TIMES.
It would be the same as a french man winning America’s Got Tallent 7 times in a row.
Sac le blue!
The hero is a zero and many can’t accept it clinging to their conspiracy theories against true heroes!
You know what? The denial of reality we are seeing among Armstrong’s supporters is no different from the denial of reality among Obama supporters!
Having watched the Tour for several years running, going back into the Lance era, I can only say that I'm very disappointed, and will never see the sport the same again. I won't be watching the Tour de France again any time soon, and Lance Armstrong just becomes another one of those names of cyclists who have been disgraced due to doping.
When are the Rolling Stones going to be stripped of their tour titles for using performance enhancing drugs (especially in the 1970s)?
