Republicans are bracing themselves for Gloria Allred to make a potentially damaging revelation about Mitt Romney, just weeks before the election.
The pro-President Obama lawyer is rumoured to be preparing for her so-called 'October surprise' in which she will strike the Republican presidential hopeful's chances by unearthing some sort of secret or scandal.
Ms Allred has refused to comment on the rumours, which first surfaced in a tweet by the Drudge Report's Matt Drudge on Thursday. 'Here she comes. Hearing Gloria Allred out there again, about to make a move. After all, it's her time of the campaign. Team O at the ready!!' Mr Drudge wrote on Twitter.
According to RadarOnline.com, Ms Allred launched a last minute strike on GOP Meg Whitman's campaign for governor of California by representing a disgruntled former housekeeper. In the pivotal moments of the campaign, the lawyer wheeled out Nicky Diaz who alleged that she was fired by the Whitman family because she was an illegal immigrant.
Whitman went on to lose the election to Democrat Jerry Brown. Ms Allred refused to confirm or deny the rumours regarding Governor Romney.

I just don’t see anything that allred would throw at Romney, would stick. Anything she does will backfire.
If she brings up Sheldon, then Young could be brought up as well as the other man (whose name escapes me) who were killed in Wright’s church.

This woman is looking for a camera. She got booted out of CNN and Fox ignores her. So she may get prominence on MSNBC and the Obama networks and local TV stations. My guess: It is such an epic pile of BS that the Obamaites will drop it into the news cycle on the Thursday or Friday before the election hoping it sticks long enough before a rebuttal can be formed.
Remember old Stuffinopolis calling a show with some epic letter about Bush 41 that was actually just old news?
She can take down Senate candidates, Governor candidates and people running in primaries with some kind of shadowy, back street accusations, but attacking Romney, who is the Republican nominee for POTUS and has a better than even chance of winning, is something that she has never been involved in. Romney is not going to just knuckle under like Herman Cain.
I think that her past "successes" has gone to her head, and her assesment of her "power" is caused her judgement to fail.
Romney has been running for POTUS for a long time, and will not take kindly to some arguable claim by a former employee or former associate or some otherwise disgruntled individual.
Romney has access to a lot of money, both in his campaign and personally. He also has access to hundreds of competent investigators. Romney ain’t going to let some lunatic just throw out accusations and be expected to whine a little and then withdraw. He will “throw the kichen sink” at Allred, guaranteed……*caveat*…(unless, of course, they have clear pictures of Romney, [as "they" say] in bed with a dead girl, or two live boys)…
If Allred goes here, get out the popcorn and turn down the lights, its going to be fun to watch.
She has been sniffing around on the only confirmed story about his having illegal aliens working on his property as a result of hiring a shady contractor.

Rick Perry brought the issue up during the debate. “You stood here in front of the American people and did not tell the truth that you had illegals working on your property,” Perry said, “and the newspaper came to you and brought it to your attention, and you still, a year later, had those individuals working for you.
“The idea that you can sit here and talk about any of us having an immigration issue is beyond me,” said Perry. “I’ve got a strong policy, I’ve always been against amnesty. You, on the other hand, were for amnesty.”
