I need your help in locating a thread I was reading this AM. A fellow freezer was looking for authors to read, and he liked what I like, mysteries, spy novels... There were a bunch of comments and some new authors for me to read, but I cannot find it. I also can hide my own Easter eggs.
Two authors I wanted to add to the list are Loren Eastleman and Walter Mosley. They have a bunch of series. I am reading the Leonid McGill (Mosley) and Amos Walker (Estleman) characters. Both are PI's, loners and hard boiled.
Thanks in advance for the help
30 seconds from posting, you folks will help me!,
Any word from the Freeze Masons?
I suggest this be added to the lingo handbook.
FReezers: Americans who are bitterly clinging to guns, God, and their religion in the winter of their discontent.
As long as I am upright, I will be a FReezer.
No chest freezer for me.
Can’t wait for the comments on that one
You mean like trying to explain to rescuers your tongue is stuck, frozen to a WHAT????
I turned off the spell check on iPad. It is too aggressive. Once on a thread, i tried to type ‘Palin’, as in ‘Sarah Palin’. iPad kept typing ‘palindrome’. I eventually turned off the spell check. It was more trouble than it was worth.
Hey, did you hear what happened to Frigidaire?
Kelvinator.
Kelvin has been a bad, bad boy.
Oh, haven’t run into that yet. Guess I’ll have to read some more!
I sense the presence of a larval Undead Thread...
*Looks under Bamabound’s freezer.*
Yup - yessir!
Would you mind terribly if we requested this to be the September Undead Thread?
OK, what is an Undead Thread? Sounds like quite an honor to be asked. Thanks
We are a roving ‘thread’ within a thread.
Usually we are a chat thread.
Often we takeover zotted troll threads.
But they’ve been extremely lame lately and not worth noticing.
SO we have taken to highlighing odd things, or even mundane things.
[One month we highlighted a typo by one of our ping list members “Scrifice”, was supposed to be sacrifice.]
For August we were in a thread about a lady who accidentally swallowed a knife.
By laughing.
I figured that autocorrect is a worthy subject since many of us have been nailed by it in one way or another.
We do tend to wander off topic after about a day or two though, we then become basically a chat thread or a literary idea discussion.
Mainly Sci-Fi stuff.
