He was a rescue about two 1/2 years ago he was hanging around in my yard. He had a claw sticking in his head, and it looked like it might be getting infected.. So I took him to the vet for treatment. From then on I kept him in an 6 by 8 enclosure on the side of my house.
He would want me to sit down in a yard chair and he would jump in my lap and snuggle with his head on my chest. GREAT CAT.
Well, when I took him back for further treatment He had a temperature of 104.2 followed the next day by 105.2 and the vet called and said they thought it was fungal infection, 'valley fever'. and he thought it might be time to let him go. as we had already spent $450 dollars and it would cost another $250 to test for certainty and the cost of the medicine was costly. I inquired about the older cheaper medicines, etc. He did not say much else, but he was 'sorry'.
I called back later and spoke with his partner regarding safety of putting other cats in the enclosure. Was told it was not contagious. So no worries. He said KeeKee might have had the spore breathed in for a long time and his immune system kept it down, and then his immune system could not handle it and it overwhelmed him.
Nothing to do but get over it. Life goes on. I greatly appreciate that I had him for 2 1/2 years.
So I am very sad today. He was a beautiful cat, and I miss him. I do have 2 other cats. Neutered Females without claws that stay in the house and garage; and the enclosure too. That is why the enclosure was built.
God bless.
“Jesus mission was simple: Diligently search for lost people, whatever their social standing, and offer them Gods salvation plan. As followers of Christ, we too have that as our mission.
Lord, help us show compassion
To a world thats lost in sin,
So when we share the gospel,
Hungry souls for Christ well win. Sper
Christs mission is our mission.

In today's world Jesus and Christianity is being disdained and marginalized. It causes many to not consider the message of Christ, including our own friends and family.
Father, forgive them for they know not what they do, in Jesus name, amen.

Losing a pet is like losing a member of the family. It's always a very sad time. But, KeeKee is no longer in pain. Take a little time to grieve.
Enjoy the 2 you still have. God Bless you.
LOL...wish he had been cloned!

Yum! What dish(s) did you make? Several weeks ago I made egg foo young (or yong or yung..*shrug*) with sauce, fried rice and sweet 'n sour chicken. Was sooooo good! Time consuming but I don't do it often.
Darn....now I've got a hankerin' for broccoli & beef! lol
Bok Choy, Bean Sprouts, Beef, Ginger, Garlic, Soy Sauce and Rice Wine, all stir fried and yummy!
