Within minutes of the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting, Brian Ross of ABC News reports to George Stephanopoulos that a man named James Holmes, same first and last name as the reported suspect, is listed as member of a local Tea Party group. Ross speculates, with any proof to connect them, that this James Holmes is the suspect. A search on PeopleSmart.com finds no fewer than 12 individuals sharing that same first and last name.
Mark Steyn, substituting for Rush Limbaugh on the Rush Limbaugh Show today, reports that the James Holmes who is listed with the local Tea Party group has received several threatening calls from what Steyn calls “left wing loonies.” As a result, Holmes request and have his own phone disconnected to stop the harassing phone calls he's received as a result of the speculation by the media that he might be the shooting suspect.

I hope he’s recording these threats as they come in so they can be introduced as evidence in court.
The leftmedia won’t stop the political and social witch hunts until they are nailed in court and pay and pay and pay.
You would have thought that after the Martin/Zimmerman fiasco they would have learned to fact check first ... guess it’s all about who gets what out first and the heck with accuracy.
So, the nuts trying to call him think the cops are going to interrupt their interrogations so the suspect can take calls on his cell phone?
Don't forget diminished sexual capacity. That will easily double the payout.
Did we ever learn why that police spokesman gave his name as Muhammed Alam? Or anything else on the servicemen shot?

They came up with hits and took the name of Brian Ross apart with all of this speculation, ABC style.
How could a “professional” put this out without verifying the facts?

You know, Congress sticks their noses into all kinds of stuff that they have no business even thinking about. Major League Sports comes to mind. Now the Press, that is a totally different aspect. The Press in this country have protections offered by the Bill of Rights. With those protections should come UPHELD responsibilities.
I've seen baseball players called to Capitol Hill. It's about time we see some of these 'investigative reporters' having their sorry asses drug there to explain their lack of investigation!
