At some point in the near future, I am going to have to take a trip to true nighttime darkness in order to see the sky that my ancestors lived under. We live in the age of light pollution which inevitably diminishes our appreciation of the sky and the universe beyond that sky. It is pictures like this that remind me of this lack. Thanks for reminding me.

I do not believe the only light in this picture is from the Milky Way. Perhaps with a reeeal long exposure but I doubt it.
