It's difficult to find quality entertainment on Netflix streaming. Here's three Tom Selleck movies that, in my opinion, qualify: Jesse Stone, Night Passage / Jesse Stone - Stone Cold / Jesse Stone - Death in Paradise. Great entertainment, no PC agenda.

Anybody got any other favorites on Netflix streaming?

I have always loved Tom Selleck from his ‘Magnum’ days and I was really happy to see him ‘again’ in the Jesse Stone series. It’s good stuff!

Thanks, I didn’t realize it was on TV. I cut the TV cable over a decade ago.

Doesn’t look like Bluebloods made it to Netflix streaming. Thanks for the tip.

I’m just a small town cop. Mostly, I just give out parking tickets. Ha ha...

I’ve Netflixed the ones he’s done so far...very good. I also programmed the DVR to record the upcoming new release.

I’ve mostly been going through series I never watched when they were prime time: Nip/Tuck, Heroes, Roswell, etc....I think it’s better when you can see them from start to finish than hang on each week.

But, Jesse Stone is old. I’ve seen all of them at least 4 times! When are we going to have a new story?
To: Gaffer
Jesse Stone is a very interesting character underplayed by Selleck. The shows usually are entertaining with a dark undertone. True drama. Just IMHO.

First time I saw them. I guess I’m just blissfully disconnected from current “culture.”

He certainly is understated in this role, for sure. I can’t quite wrap myself around his seemingly sporadic drinking problem and the nightly calls to his ex-wife, but I like the crime detection and resolution and his approach to crime - punch the sucker out.....I like them. The “I’m just a small town cop......” and his “I’m the police chief, I’m supposed to know everything....” are likeable recurring quips that are fun.

Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone, small town cop. If Selleck manages a believable performance at this, I will never question his acting ability again.
To: ibytoohi
I’ll certainly watch any future “Jesse Stone” movies.
