It's difficult to find quality entertainment on Netflix streaming. Here's three Tom Selleck movies that, in my opinion, qualify: Jesse Stone, Night Passage / Jesse Stone - Stone Cold / Jesse Stone - Death in Paradise. Great entertainment, no PC agenda.
To down load on smart TV, get the “Web Videos” app, then use the free Flingo program to fling them to Web Videos.
When Flinging, have the Web Videos app open on TV, they will then go there instantly.
I have several movies and videos stored in Web Videos queue.
Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like Murder She Wrote is your only recommendation available on streaming. Don’t normally go for the vampire genre.
Yes, Perry Mason is an excellent series. Perhaps when I’m done with all the others I have in my queue, I’ll start tackling that one. And if you’re going to ask God to give me back that 90 minutes, you better do it quick. Longevitity doesn’t run in my family :-)
AFAIK, the choices on Netflix Canada are even more limited (cross-border licensing issues, or some such). I put our account on hold for several months. Putting the account on hold saves you the bother of signing up again, and preserves your user data — while giving Netflix some time to acquire new titles.
Cool, I’ll check it out.
For something completely different try Trailer Park Boys.
We don’t mess with the Hollyweird movies at Netfix, but go straight to the foreign releases.
There are some great South Korean films, especially the crime, drama and action ones. They are dubbed in English.
Surprised at the language and humor, (the humor is great) have found their movies portray a South Korean culture that closely mimics American culture.
There are also many great movies from other countries around the world. We really like the Russian ones.
Looks good. Thanks!
I watched one last night. It was a pretty good find.
I’ve become a late in life Robert Ryan fan. They have a fair collection of his movies. He has to be the best “Bad Guy” in history.
try barnesandnoble and amazon
I am going to check these out via torrent download - thanks for the leads. I noticed Dark Shadows has a fanatical following!
Try this one, “ The Conspirator”
It factually follows the military tribunal trial of Mary Surratt as it actually happened, which was a travesty of justice. It shows how absolute power, absolutely corrupts the constitution.
“The Conspirator 2010PG-13122 minutes
This gripping drama follows the efforts of a young lawyer to defend a Confederate sympathizer accused of conspiring to assassinate Abraham Lincoln.
Cast:James McAvoy, Robin Wright, Evan Rachel Wood Genre:Dramas, Courtroom Dramas, Crime Dramas, Dramas based on real life This movie is:Cerebral, Dark”
I'd like the entire TV series.
Is tonight on CBS soon enough? Or was your question tongue in cheek?
Stone Cold, Night Passage, Death in Paradise, Sea Change, Thin Ice, No Remorse and Innocents Loss.
"Innocents Lost" was released in 2011.
Good idea. Thanks.
Believable?
Tom Selleck IS Jesse Stone. Stone character created by the late, great mystery writer, Robert B. Parker. (also the creator of the Spencer character).
The newer JS movies are not based on the Parker books as there were only a few - unlike the Spencer books. So far the quality hasn’t dropped off IMO.
