He turned 40 a couple weeks ago. Now he’s said in the recent past he’s thinking of doing a couple more seasons, but at 40 years old if they win the Cup I think the temptation to go out winning his last game will be too great. Better to go out like Elway than Jordan.
Worse than the Jokinen goal in 2009 was the final 90 seconds of Game 7 that year ... when he gave up two of the softest goals you’ll ever see to give Carolina a 4-3 series win. I watched that one myself. The worst part about it was that I could see it unfolding over the course of the final two periods. Ugh.
