PITTSBURGH -
A man stopped Thursday morning rush-hour traffic in a Pittsburgh tunnel so he could rescue a kitten that's only a few weeks old.
Mike Hodak told Channel 4 Action News reporter Bob Mayo that he stopped his car and retrieved the kitten inside the Liberty Tunnels.
-snip-
He continued on his way to Monroeville, while his wife, Tammy, took the kitten to a veterinarian.
The vet said the kitten -- a female -- is four weeks old and weighs one pound.
Hodak named the kitty "Liberty" -- what else? -- and is holding onto it until the owner is found.

Pix, video at source.
Probably a stray, and way too young to be away from its mother. Hope it finds a good home.

.. holding onto it until the owner is found.I doubt there is even an "owner". It could be a kitten from a stray. God gave him a friend and he should keep it.

"But she ran from me, and I caught her. She gave me a good bite." Hmmm... I'm thinking feral. I don't think a tame kitten that young would do that. Where there's one kitten, there's more, if it wasn't thrown out of a car or something. If it wasn't, I wonder why it wandered away from the litter?... Mother dead maybe? Someone should check the tunnel. Anyway, poor kitty! I'm glad someone saved her. She's veeery lucky.

Probably an alien entity disguised as a kitten, perfect platform to take over the human species.

God gave him a friend and he should keep it. I couldn't agree with you more. Remember, dogs have masters but cats have servants, and cats choose who they want to love.
I just lost my loving friend of 23 years and she was the best pet I ever had. That is, when she wasn't balling me out and lecturing me about the cat food.
I miss her terribly.

Would not be surprised if there is a litter of kittens nearby with the mother. This is now the height of ktten births season. Hopefully that litter will be found with the mother.:)=^..^=
