TURLOCK, Calif. (AP) -- The man who holds the Guinness World Record for living the longest with a bullet in his head has died in Central California at age 103.
The Modesto Bee reports ( http://bit.ly/JHXmXv ) that William Lawlis Pace died in his sleep at a Turlock nursing home Monday - 94 years and six months after his older brother accidentally shot him with their father's .22-caliber rifle in 1917.

Ahhhh... we're both feeling relieved.
Have they interviewed his older brother yet? Has the DAs office contacted him?
His attorney should be able to plea bargain it down to involuntary manslaughter. As long as there aren’t any witnesses who can testify otherwise.
Well, since the death occurred in California I suppose the state will now bring a manslaughter charge against the brother...
The lead in that bullet shortened his life by hours.
Brady needs that like he needs a hole in the head.
Saved the keyboard.

How about ‘wicked topspin ping pong ball to upper pectoral area’ survivor? Is that a category?
If so then I’m walking wounded since 1987 and demand recognition.
Thanks Free ThinkerNY. Obviously, we’ve lost a man of high caliber.
Here is another keyboard hoser JR. From the article: Pace learned in 2006 that he had been crowned the world record holder in the category of, (hang on),.... UNWANTED CRANIAL AMMUNITION AQUISITION”.
Such a shame. They were about to make a movie about his life. They had cast him as the lead.
Maybe for Holders people....they seem to think holes in their bods by lead injection is some sort of status symbol in the ‘hood!! (As in: “6? you be got juz 6 hoes in ‘yo azz? Sheeee$$t, Eyze be havin’ only jive 6 by 7th grade when I dropped out. Eyze be ups to fohteen naw dog”).
“Unwanted cranial ammunition acquisition” was what his record is actually for! ha!

There is a guy in my town that shot himself in the head attempting to commit suicide as a young guy, age about 25. He’s 60 now, has one eye, has overcome whatever made him want to die and is a nice person. I think he’s still got some of his acquired cranial ammunition, but haven’t heard about any records!
Those long dead doctors can be proud of making a good choice so many years ago.
CAREFUL! You could put an eye out with that!
A rather dubious claim to fame.
