Cops: Accused Prostitute Offered Undercover Officer Sex For Cheeseburgers Off McDonald's Dollar Menu

The woman, the detective reported, replied that the pair “could go have sexual intercourse if I bought her two double cheese burgers off the dollar menu at McDonald’s.” The cop added, “I agreed to the deal and purchased the hamburgers for $2.75.”

[ At this point, Christine Baker was arrested by a takedown team. Booked on a misdemeanor prostitution charge, she is scheduled for a May 1 court appearance. What a brilliant use of cop resources (ie your tax $) ! Surely we'll all breathe a huge sigh of relief and sleep better tonight. ] Yeah, I agree, a lot of this stems from the early progressive era of "Temperance" when the Religious people were in "cohoots" with the Progressives was when whoring was outlawed along with the drink. Instead of setting up stings against Whorin' you would think they would spend more of their time going after violent crime. Of course if Whorin' was legal then the women would be better paid, cleaner, and wouldn't have to take as many drugs to keep whorin' and violence rates would go down amongst the whorin' class. Whorin' should ALWAYS still have a negative stigma attached, (much like working for the IRS does today). But when you try to legislate morality you give too much power to government, and you push the behavior to the black market where it increases the risk 100 fold or more. I personally find Whorin' to be detestable behavior, but I also find being a Democrat to be destedable, doesn't mean I want whorin' or being a democrat to be an arrestable offense. What i do want is the first amendment right to call a whore and whore and a democrat a rat.

This is not going to be a very easy case to make in a court of law.

1. A man asks a woman for sex.

2. The woman says you must buy me a meal first.

3. The man lavishes a bit of extra money on her.

While not a classic love story, that is not an outline that most people would consider criminal. Throw in that you have a woman so bad off that she is willing to have sex for a dollar cheese burger and you have a pretty sympathetic accused.

You have pretty much just described a normal date. Srs, how is this any different than asking a woman out on a date hoping to get some action?

This is the issue I have for making whorin’ illegal.

If they want to make Whorin’ illegal they had better make casual unpaid sex illegal as well. Same effect.

Heck you can give away raw milk from cows for free and the government considers that to be ILLEGAL!!!!!!! Let alone you charge for it....

A lot of people here on free republic don;t seem to realize that many of the laws against whorin’ were passed during the era of Progressives by progressives.

Whorin’ should always be a stigma, but should we use the heavy hamfisted hand of government to intervene?
