HARRISBURG, March 27, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A Pennsylvania state lawmaker has called her female colleagues who co-sponsored a pro-life ultrasound bill men with breasts.
Rep. Babette Josephs, D-Philadelphia, was speaking at a Democratic rally on Monday against the measure. http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/PN/Public/btCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&sessYr=2011&sessInd=0&billBody=H&billTyp=B&billNbr=1077&pn=2511 which The bill requires that an ultrasound be performed 24 hours before an abortion in order to document the gestational age of the child to be aborted, and that women be given the option of viewing the ultrasound image or hearing the fetal heartbeat if they choose. Rep. Babette Josephs
Theyre trying all these experiments on us, said Josephs of conservatives, according the Pennsylvania Patriot-News.
Referring to women lawmakers who co-sponsored the ultrasound bill, she said, I do not understand how a woman in this Legislature can say to herself: Im not capable of making my own health decisions ... but I can get elected and make them for somebody else.
What is wrong with these women? What are they thinking about? Are they women, or are they men with breasts?
The Patriot-News reports that 110 state House members have co-sponsored the measure, which was debated in that chamber this month.
Like the bills counterpart in Virginia, although the measure does not mention vaginal ultrasounds, opponents have attacked the bill as invasive based on the possibility doctors would perform one to fulfill the requirement. Supporters have noted that performing an ultrasound prior to an abortion is standard medical practice.

In the 60’s we were told the same thing..... as a positive....
Now it is an insult, it isn’t about ideals, it is about the message at the moment...

Classical Alinsky tactic: when caught doing the unsupportable, smear the opposition. Pro-life is trying to guarantee women will get to make an informed decision. 90% of abortion-minded women choose life after viewing an ultrasound. Abortion supporters continue to pretend they're defending women rather than admit they're exploiting them for $$.

...men with breasts? That's what my art history professor used to say about Michaelangelo's sculptures of women (not that there was anything wrong with Michaelangelo being gay and all that):

I guess its okay for a Dem to slam transexuals?Someone ought to pay a transsexual to call a press conference and claim he/she is "offended."
There are certainly enough of them around Philadelphia, thanks to the same City Council she serves on, that passed bills making Philly a destination for "gay tourism."
