Drop Out Mitt Romney

Posted on 03/26/2012 10:57:00 AM PDT by Advocatus Sancti Sepulchri

I will not vote for Mitt Romney under any circumstance in November. The fact that he is the frontrunner is a disgrace and those that endorse him, those delegates that vote for him, and the establishment have my full contempt. He is the John Kerry of the Republican Party. His record is very liberal on virtually every issue. He is a shameless opportuntist..the etch sketch will reset for the general election. If you support the second amendment, marriage, pro-life cause, etc., how can you justify voting for Mitt Romney? He's treating republicans, or at least conservatives, like idiots while his surrogates plan to dump the weak, phony campaign of faux conservatism at the next step. He will lose worse than Ford, Dole, and McCain.

Let me quote the founder of Free Republic:

"As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro- Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro- capitalism, pro-national defense, pro- freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicia activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its wil or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.." That's the reason I joined and that's why I oppose Mitt Romney. Rather than speaking in code, please tell me how anything I have said makes me a "malcontent."

"We MUST vote Republican, regardless of who it is."

You were doing so well until this line. No, sir, we must support a Conservative for President. Voting for a Socialist on the "R" line merely hastens the destruction of the Republican Party and our nation. But that's the plan all along for the left. Willard is the vehicle for the destruction. Zero can't destroy the Republican Party from within because he's not running as one, but Willard can and will.

One can and should teach the corrupt "GOP" money people who appear close to buying the GOP nomination and teach the GOP itself a very eloquent lesson by destroying their pet candidate and lying front man a permanent lesson.

One may refrain from voting for POTUS altogether.

One may vote for Eternal Vigilance (Tom Hoefling).

One can vote for other worthy candidates (ABR/ABO).

One can write in, although most write-ins won't be counted.

In any event, one can and should pray, repent, and rely on Almighty God to protect this badly wounded nation (as He has so often in the past) in its time of need. If the survival and moral prospering of this nation is not in God's plan, we won't be the first nation nor likely the last to suffer such a fate and we cannot very well say that we did not deserve to go the way of so many dead punished nations. It is utterly amazing that God has put up with us as long as He has.

I don't care who Robamney chooses for VP. I don't care what additional lies he tells to snooker the sheeple. I don't care if each and every Founding Father rises from the dead to endorse Robamney who is nothing more than Obozo in white face. I don't even care if Ronald Reagan rises from the dead to endorse Robamney.

When even FReepers don't care, I fear I may have to look to Canada, Israel, or New Zealand. I think they probably all abort babies, but I also think they all believe in private property.

These are times which try men's souls.

What I said was,”We MUST vote Republican, regardless of who it is. We MUST show solidarity, hold the line shoulder to shoulder, urge everyone you know to vote not for Romney, but AGAINST OBAMA.”
If an overwhelming majority votes AGAINST OBAMA, then as sure as there is a Saint Fred,(or whoever Mitt worships)Romeny will FLOP toward conservatism in his second or third year. No doubt about it.

You must not have understood what I’ve written. Willard is a Socialist. It’s that simple. He won’t “flip” to Conservatism. What he says now are pure unadulterated lies designed to get those who don’t know his record and history to support him. His record in office is clear, he is a left-winger. Always has been, always is, always will be. Willard can and will inflict damage that Zero cannot, simply because Zero isn’t attempting to run as a Republican. Any “Conservative” voting for Slick Willard is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.

Do you seriously think Romney would appoint another "wise Latina" to the Court? The real question is, Do you seriously believe his judicial picks will be any better than his past picks given his penchant for lying?

“Many of Romney’s appointments were not only liberal, not only Democrats, but were radical counter-constitutionalists. How on earth can we expect that, as president, he would be any different?” Barber asked rhetorically.

“Actions speak louder than words, and Mitt Romney’s actions as governor scream from the rooftops that he cannot be trusted with this most important of presidential responsibilities.”

Barber cites two specific examples of Romney’s radical appointments.

“As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney not only failed in this regard, he appointed a number of very liberal, if not radical, ‘living, breathing’-minded judges to the bench,” Barber said.

“Two that come to mind were extreme homosexualists Marianne C. Hinkle and Stephen Abany,” he said. “They both had a long history of pro-gay activism, yet Romney didn’t hesitate to put them on the bench.”

“These are people who outrageously believe the postmodern notion that newfangled ‘gay rights’ trump our constitutionally guaranteed First Amendment rights,” he said.

“Joe McCarthy who warned about Soviet Penetration of our government as a defense of Romney penetrating the Republican Party and call on us to vote for “anyone””
What I said was, VOTE AGAINST OBAMA.
Not voting at all is a has NO VALUE.
You can not simply vote,”present”. It equals nothing. It's worse than sitting at home proclaiming that you were sending a message to the GOP. We tried that last time.
If overwhelming numbers of us tell Mitt that he can win a second term by being aggressively conservative, then MITT WILL FLOP TO THE RIGHT, he will do anything to win an election. The most effective way to get our goals done are to speak in volume, with overwhelming numbers all in unison. That is how to change Washington. First we throw the bum out, then get busy at ground level and forcefully change the GOP, we'll have 4 to 8 years to do that. We begin at the town level Republican Meetings, show up in unified numbers (in many towns only 2 or 3 people with speaking and debating skills), and insist on Conservative and Constitutional values. Then work our way up. That's what the socialists did to us, we can do it too, except we have the advantage of numbers. I believe there are far more silent conservatives than all of the loud mouthed, loud print pigs.

Not going to happen with Romney.

Romney is the only candidate guaranteed to lose.

Obama and his minions in the MSM will use Romney's Leftwing, Progressive, Liberal record against him and he will lose miserably.

Fine! I won’t be voting for a Republican just because there is an (R) next to his name. He has to earn my vote every bit as much as anyone else. If the Republicans, including yourself, don’t want the liberal Democrat to win then try running something other than a liberal as a Republican.

We're talking matters of degrees here, so YES I believe his judicial picks will be better than the "wise Latina." G-d knows they cannot be any worse.

Do you support marriage and do you oppose abortion? Do you support the 2nd amendment? If so, why would you vote for Mitt Romney.

You don’t see it yet.
Kruschev and Sen. Joe were both correct.

We are being denied the choice to say NO to Socialsim.
The only difference between Mitt and Obama is that one of them is the encumbent who has brazenly ignored his vow to protect the Constitution. Yes Mitt will do the same. The fix is in.
It’s a setup.
At this point, we have already lost!
Get it?

The only thing we can do is overwhelmingly throw the encumbent out, then get busy as a one armed paper hanger and start to change things.

Thanks for your response.

Please don’t put words in my mouth. Your sentence about my voting preference is incomplete. I’ll vote for anyone I feel will make a better president than Obama.

I think all the Republican candidates are far superior to Obama. I feel a random pick from the phone book would be superior to Obama. My primary has passed so now I wait for the general. Newt was my choice in the primary.

I’m not about to miss my last chance to vote against Barack Obama. I’m not at all interested in changing your mind about not voting or whatever you plan to do. It’s all good with me.

Ford barley lost unlike Dole and McCain. And I don’t think you can compare Dole to Ford in terms of level of RINOtude. He wouldn’t have been my first choice but I would rather have had Dole as President than either Bush. He would have won in 1988 or 2000, he won the nomination in the wrong year. To beat Clinton he and Newt would have had to have done a better job in charge of Congress. Clinton and Dick Morris kicked the crap out of them.

Romney if nominated might lose but there is no way Obama’s margin wouldn’t be much smaller against either Santorum or Romney. This will be an election more like 2004. 2008 was an anti-Republican year, no Republican was gonna win that year, RINO or conservative, not with a bad economy and an unpopular RINO sitting in the White House.

Therein lies the danger with Romney, the last thing we need is another RINO QB throwing pick 6’s to the rats.

Well, there’s 2 votes for obammy......

Illogical, unreasonable, unfair, and untrue.

If someone refuses to drink cyanide is that, in your mind, a vote for ingesting ricin?

“There remains the one standard that has not yet been universally used, namely, the choosing of candidates on moral grounds. A nation always gets the kind of politicians it deserves. When our moral standards are different, our legislation will be different. As long as the decent people refuse to believe that morality must manifest itself in every sphere of human activity, including the political, they will not meet the challenge of Marxism. Contemporary history proves that modern political leaders, devoid of a moral inspiration and relying solely on a mass basis (might makes right), proves ineffectual in time of crisis."

Think not that men who acknowledge not the providence of God nor regard His laws will be uncorrupt in office, firm in defense of the righteous cause against the oppressor, or resolutely oppose the torrent of iniquity...Watch over your liberties and privileges - civil and religious - with a careful eye."

“Your delusional to the point of absurdity”

Ok, now that we’ve established you’re an asshole, I’ll deign to explain myself:

- Voting for Obama is anti-American (to the point of criminal negligence).
- Not voting is anti-American and a slap in the face to those who sacrificed for your right to do so.
- Voting for some write-in half-wit who has no chance to win is a vote for Obama; see point one above.

Maybe if people like you had held your nose and pulled the lever in 2008, Elena Kagan would still be ny Ivy hack with no judicial experience instead of one out of nine votes deciding Obamacare. I blame Obama, idiots who voted for Obama, and then people like you for the mess we’re in now.
