San Antonio, TX
When I woke up this morning to a slew of emails, I had the sinking thought, "it is going to be one of those days".
One of the days where there are multiple requests to feature dogs in need - multiple dogs who desperately need a chance.
How does one pick and choose a certain dog to feature? Trust me, it isn't easy.
But this one photo of a young, uniquely colored German shepherd a the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services facility touched my heart.
This dog is so frightened that he cannot stand.
He is so frightened that he cannot look at the camera.
This one, sad photo is all that he has to help him get out of the facility alive.
Unfortunately, there is absolutely no information provided for his profile. Nothing to indicate if he was a surrender or a stray.
Nothing that states "Loves to play ball" or "longs for affection".
All that we can see is fear.
He is still a puppy - life should be full of fun and new experiences right now. He should not be behind bars waiting to die.
He looks as if he could use a calm, reassuring person who has a soft voice and gentle hand.

Did you CALL too? Please do, these workers are overwhelmed and may not see the email in time. I sure hope you can get this pooch...
Thank you. And if this little fellow has been adopted, take another, please.
Blessings.
No, he didn't, because he's the one who farted.
Why would I distrust you?
I think my Golden would love him.
I left a message. Hopefully they will call back this afternoon.
Yes.
questioning the intents of every poster
Not "every". Just bloggers trying to profit off Free Republic's traffic.
Did you jump up and down and point your finger for the teacher at the kid that farted in your 4th grade elementary school class, also?
That analogy might hold water if I were to be crying to the moderator, or to Jim.
I don't think you can find an example of that. Analogy fail.
Fer Pete's sake, if you want to be a moderator, then just ask Jim
Heck no. It's more fun to be humblegunner. Much less accountability.
'Cause something tells me that he finds you as big of a pain in the ass as the rest of us do.
Yep, more so lately. I need to work on that.
No, I have not, but I like!
Beautiful.
TEMPERAMENT The Panda Shepherd has distinct personality marked by an intense expression of interest, and exudes self confidence. It should be poised, eager and alert, ready for whatever he is faced with.In his relationship with humans he should be devoted to master above all else, being observant and vigilant with strangers but not apprehensive. He should be fit and willing to serve in any capacity such as a companion, herding dog, utility dog, as his ancestors were.
Faults: of temperament are serious, Timidity, shrinking behind handler, lack of confidence or any other display of poor character. Unprovoked aggression.
Hm. Well, at any rate, I've learned you can take the chicken out of a dog with training, but you can't take the killer out of a dog. This beautiful guy is just waiting for Andy to take him out running and chasing squirrels.
In all the years that I’ve been here on a daily basis, I’ve never seen you write one single thing that was positive or helpful. Frankly, that’s a pretty pathetic way to live your life, no matter what social, physical, or mental problems you may have. You can get help and get your mind well instead of being angry at the world.
I guess you should try to pay more attention.
Was that helpful?
Bless you. I’d like an update as well. Thank you.
That dog takes my breath away !!!!!
Bought a place in the country for Mason to live out his retirement.

Bless you.
Poor puppy. I hope someone adopts him.
GERMAN SHEPHERD PING LIST
This is a low-volume list so dont worry!
(Please Freep-mail me if youd like to be on or off the list.)
From the bottom of my pet-loving soul, I say ‘Thank You’. This simple act of kindness strengthens my belief that there are more good people in the world than evil ones. May the blessings of your act of mercy be returned a hundredfold upon your house.
humblegunner is a great guy and he loves animals.
He just hates people who pimp blogs especially virus infested MySpace pages like the Examiner.
He does a great job weeding out blog pimps and many of us appreciate it and understand that we don’t pick and choose the threads he can post on and neither do you.
Left a second message with them. Think I will stop off after work tomorrow. Hopefully a good family already adopted him.
