After seeing what happened to Rush with the Left and how the media, especially HBO treats women, I decided to do something about it.
I got rid of my Time Warner Cable and got AT&T U-Verse package. It saves me over $100.00 per month and I don't have to deal with HBO and their hatred of women.
Today I will write a letter to the editor of my local paper telling them what I did and why. If we can all do the same thing, maybe, just maybe it will make a difference.
I would get rid of HBO if it weren’t for “Game of Thrones” and “Boardwalk Empire”.
Ya...and those are about the only reasons I keep it.
I am saving countless amounts of money because I dumped TV altogether back in 1997. I expected certain changes, but the one I didn’t see coming was the almost complete removal of my family from consumerism now that we are not inundated by ads for stuff we don’t need.
Judging by the things they advertise in the subway, they seem like a petty, opportunistic bunch of self-infatuated frat-boys. Nobody would ever mistake it for art, that’s for sure.
The other day I was reading and for some stupid reason had not turned the Idiot Box off. It was on the cartoon channel where the grands had been watching. A cartoon went off. Commercials came on. And stayed on and stayed on and stayed on and stayed on. When I started counting, they stayed on for SEVEN more minutes. Those commercials had to have stayed on for 9 to 10 minutes!!! Just slamming children with YOU GOTTA HAVE THIS, YOU GOTTA HAVE THAT, TELL MOMMY AND DADDY TO GET YOU THIS. Boom, boom, boom, just slamming them.
Don’t have and will never have HBO; just not my kind of entertainment.
I use the comparison of the “How to boil a frog alive”. We see ourselves as “frogs” that got out of the water in 1997 and afterward realized it was already really hot. Now we dip our toe in when in public places or at relatives. It is absolutely boiling, now.
I think it, coupled with the infestation of internet porn, will be the undoing of western civilization. I think it already IS the undoing...
Hollywood has us willingly dangling on a leash because we think we get something in return. I struggle with this every day. By evening I'm so mentally exhausted that all I want to do is be entertained by The Office, The Big Bang Theory, Uncoded, and the like. Simple shows, but they still pay the bills for the Hollywood elite.
The moment we decide to give up television and movies is the day that the left loses its megaphone.
It’s been my experience as a cable TV user that it’s hard NOT to get HBO.
That being said, I don’t pay much attention to them.
Please pardon my ignorance, but what’s HBO’s latest offense against women?
“HBO and their hatred of women.”
What did I miss? Where have they shown a hatred of women?
My Comcast package doesn’t include HBO but I get plenty of other movie channels that I like better. As to HBO’s hatred of women, do a Google search on Bill Maher; they run his show.
“GET RID OF HBO”
And BHO as well!
“HBO and their hatred of women.”
I think that Maher’s comments indicate HBO’s hatred of women since they did nothing to stop Maher.
If Limbaughs comment about Fluke indicates his hatred of women, there is no reason why Maher’s comments and HBO turning a blind eye towards it is anything different.
The only way to beat the left is to bankrupt them.

Thanks, here’s some further discussion of that:
I mean, it was just so damn GAY!
I got rid of premium channels years ago.
