Indeed. Thank you for this update. Prayers continue...
So glad Baby Ava is doing better - and Peeing her off is good! The therapy folks know what they are doing.
You, your family, and Brian’s family are in my prayers, and the prayers of several little ones.
I’ll light a candle for Brian this evening and devote the whole hour of prayer to him. Figure the Lord won’t mind me skipping the Rosary to cheer a fellow vet home to Him.
I am so sorry. Prayers are on the way!
My heart goes out to your family. They will remain in my prayers. Happy for the good news about baby Ava.
Prayers for God’s blessings on all.
Thank you for the update.
Go, Ava! Go, Ava! Go, Ava, go!
Prayers continue....
I was almost 5 when I fractured my skull, and I was NOT a happy camper during my hospital stay! (Your reference to her as “Baby Ava” leads me to believe she a lot younger — and therefore the situation would be even more confusing for her.)
Is she old enough to understand things received for special occasions?
In situations like this, I’m a believer in the carrot-and-stick method. Promise her a treat at the end of each walk or other unpleasant therapy. It isn’t spoiling a child to promise a popsickle, sticker, or stuffed animal at the end of each difficult task. (X # of stickers = big prize!) I believe it teaches goal setting.
Bob, Jesus knows that you’re no piker, trust me. Your love for your family is like His love for us; it will see you through. Our prayer is that Jesus’ grace and love continue to hold you up as you hold it all together. In His name, Amen.
Prayers up for both your families and for little Ava’s swift and total recovery. Through the Grace of God, may His solace descend upon you all, in the Holy Name of Jesus, amen.
Small smile, my dear ol’ dad used to say he knew when I was feeling better, because I would be feisty again. He said a compliant or subdued little Tatt was not a well Tatt ; )
Prayers continuing for young Miss Ava and for you all.
May God grant you strength and peace of mind.
Tatt
Prayers up.
Amen to the prayers offered here for Baby Ava and the Smith family and any and all who may have similar situations of need, according to the Holy Will of God.
Prayers up for this family.
We visited today with S/Sgt Smith...Brian, Sr., and Kinneys’ hearts are being held by the Lord; I pray they feel my love for them. I pray God will help me....
S/Sgt Smiths’ Squadron Commander, LtCol Netcher, came to visitation, (and the hospital to visit Baby Ava) to pay respects to our hero. He will be attending the services, and burial tomorrow. He’s a good Skipper...
Baby Avas’ head and neck trauma was quite severe. Her regression is remarkable. She walks with assistance, like a tot just learning; not like the seasoned 22 month old pro that she was. She spoke maybe a dozen times today, but it is what we call “boo-babble”. That is the bad news.
I’ll not pin any hope on the good news, until it comes to pass; yesterday we were advised of the possibility of 6 weeks of in-patient therapy...this morning the attending trauma Doc saw her walking, and surmised that she might do fine with out-patient therapy. Prayer WORKS!
A fine, young, Gentle Man/Patriot/Warrior, will be laid to rest at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetary at 1400 tomorrow afternoon. Don’t pray for me...pray for Kinney, Brian Sr., Jessica, and Baby Ava. God put boot straps on boots for a reason.
SgtBob...we WILL pray for you and for your family, tomorrow...May Brian rest in His peace...may you all feel His love in the days to come, and may Baby Ava be returned to full and complete health.
A gentle hug from us, to you...
BTTT
Just seeing this Bob and I am so very sorry for the heartache and loss for your family. My prayers and love from Ohio.
I shall be praying for the family also!
