I truly admire Sarah Palin and feel she totally destroyed all her chances in Politics by not running in this 2012 Presidential Primary...

hope I'm wrong but she does not appear like a strong leader as she did at one time...

I questioned her judgment previously, and I secretly wondered if maybe the reason she refused to come out in support of a candidate is because she was listening to the whispers in her ear that she could win the nomination without a fight. This proves her real motivations are to remain a powerful influence on whoever wins the nomination. She doesn’t want to burn any bridges, and maybe putting her husband out there was her way of sending a signal of her “preference” without doing something that is irreparable. Maybe she even believes that endorsing someone would damage the person being endorsed. I do not comprehend this way of thinking, but look at Arpaio who generally said the same thing in warning the candidates in advance.

That said, I still dislike it. I think part of being a leader is picking fights and making enemies, as you are fighting for a goal and people will oppose you from reaching that goal. You fight, you burn out, or you come out on top. Whatever the case, it’s better than being a spectator and fading away into obscurity. She has done a lot of fighting, but I do not comprehend her reluctance to fight amongst Republicans too. The Republican party needs to be destroyed and replaced with something made in our image, after our likeness. And I’m tired of dying for Republican sins.

From this interview, it appears she had no intention to publicly endorse Newt, but chose to do it when asked an honest question from an honest Cavuto. She hedged her bets at the end, saying she would stand behind whoever the nominee is going to be, which revealed the motivations I detailed above.

Newt is the only candidate brave enough to defend Palin when none of the other candidates will. I guess this is payback

Rab loveth this lady and her spunk, commitment, and scratch common sense.
How rab. can but wonder could anyone hope that the Romnicrat (wacked by McCain last time) could prevail against the 0 (sitting Power) that cleaned McCain’s clock, when the grov was but a Chicago pimp.

Go Newton Leroy Gingrich, thanks SP.

Raben a Chicago pimp

Makes sense. Newt is leading on the energy issue, one of her signature issues. Like Palin, Newt makes the connection between energy independence and national security. Plus, he is the strongest advocate of the 4 GOP candidates for opening up Alaska for drilling and mining, something she has fought long and strong for.
