A former Stonehill College student is suing the college, saying it did not help her move out of a dorm she shared with a roommate who she claims was overly sexual.
Lindsay Blankmeyer, who says she suffers from depression and attention deficit disorder, is seeking $150,000 from Stonehill, claiming the college violated state and federal laws because housing officials did not give her reasonable alternatives for escaping a bad living situation.
In the lawsuit, filed in federal court in Boston on Wednesday, Blankmeyer alleges that her senior-year roommate had sex with her boyfriend as Blankmeyer tried to sleep a few feet away.

Costs an arm and a leg, though.
Ruh-roh, don’t mention this to Rush. /s
I will say what everyone else is thinking... Was the roommate’s name Fluke?
Justice demands equal time, right?
That’s what I think/ thought I heard:

Got my butt shot-down, npc.
I think her afflictions - “depression and attention deficit disorder” - will preclude that, but the article did mention her name, so she’s a legit target now. (Isn’t ADD/ADHD just “imagined”, as Rush has stated many times?)
Interesting, because Stonehill is an allegedly Catholic college. It’s run by the Jesuits, so that’s probably why the college never did anything about this woman’s roommate continuing to have sex, while she was trying to sleep in her own room! Who DOES that, anyway? That’s just disgusting, and makes me think of rutting animals, not human beings!
I have found that a 5 gallon bucket of ice water will stop sex pretty quick with dogs and people who act with the same morals as dogs.
Dogs came to my mind as well.
I a surprised that the school did not act. She must not have complained much. I know some administrators there, and all they do, all day long is fix kids problems because the parents whine about it.
Funny stuff for a catholic college.
I wonder if she’s upset she wasn’t gettin any???
What, she didn’t like to watch?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Sandra Fluke’s roommate...
Are we just supposed to accept the fact that some room mates want to use their dorm rooms as brothels?
If I were paying between $8-10,000/yr for a dorm room, shouldn’t I expect that I am entitled to use the space to study and to sleep? Why should I have to pretend to not know that sexual activity a few yards from my half of the room and that I am just expected to put up with it. I don’t understand why anybody would put up with that on a regular basis.
Dear Penthouse,
I neve rethought this would happen to me. See, I am a student at a small Midwestern liberal arts college, and one night my roommate.......
Funny you should ask. A friend of mind said her former roommates in college did the same thing. Did not care if my friend was a few feet over from them. This was back in the early 90’s.
Ahhh....the benefits of higher education.
I went to college in the early 80’s and had a roommate like this for one semester. I am male, and walked in on him a few times. Finally got him to understand the need to let me know some kind of timeline or hang a sign on the door.
At the time, it didn’t bother me as much as it bothered his girl pals. At least at first, then later many would service him orally practically in front of me.
Ah, the days of youth...
What ever happened to the tie a ribbon on the doorknob rule so you know your roomie is getting busy?
