Short Bus's Obama Birth Certificate Defense Is Officially ZOTTED
The Stir ^ | 3/2/12 | Sasha Brown-Worsham

Posted on 03/02/2012 9:17:36 AM PST by Short Bus

Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona is bound and determined to make sure we never forget the embarrassment of the birther movement. Most of us would love to put that ugly little racist blip in our history -- a time when conspiracy theorists and fools alike accused President Barack Obama of not being American. But Arpaio, a sheriff in Phoenix, Arizona, just won't give it up.

Can we say beating a dead horse, people? Sometimes it seems like certain politicians just do things to help out Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, and Bill Maher. After all, how else does anyone explain Arpaio's inane and insane assertion that Obama, a man who produced his birth certificate last year, isn't American?

See his ranting [here].

"Forgery or fraud may have been committed," says Arpaio. Ooooh no! Are ghosts and goblins real, too, Sheriff Arpaio? How about the Loch Ness Monster? Do you go visit old Nessie on your days off from enforcing the laws of Arizona?

In all seriousness, this is vile racism plain and simple. In a place like Arizona, it's no surprise -- after all, many politicians there (including Arpaio) hold rather Draconian views on immigration -- and it's disgusting. And it's getting old fast.

For all you doubters for whom book learning was apparently a challenge, here are the facts: President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu on August 4, 1961. He has produced both a certificate of live birth during the 2008 campaign and the long-form certificate last year. Neither has been disproved.

So why is this still going on? Arpaio seems like a joke, but, according to Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt, Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney doesn't think so. Yesterday LaBolt tweeted:

Romney has called Arpaio for his endorsement, his aides called "weekly" and Arpaio was his honorary Chair in 08.
That's embarrassing. The fact is, most people agree Arpaio is a few cards shy of a full deck, but here we are still talking about him. Is this an alternate universe? Why am I guessing this guy is the type of person who stays at parties hours after they have ended asking for more chips and guacamole? Dude, the party is over, the ship has sailed, and you are beating a dead horse.

Sadly, there aren't enough cliched ways to say IT'S OVER to make it any clearer to this guy.

Well, it depends.
Did the horse look somewhat befuddledly amused at the proceedings?
I’ve seen horses act like the humans are insane and need rescuing.

Good Morning Darksheare. Good morning everyone. Good things are beginning this day, while evil lurks around every corner ... attempting to throw each of us offtrack. Stay Safe!

Wear one of those thingies or take a pill. Or to avoid being a fluke, carry yourself and others without asking for help. Cause to tell the truth ... help is always there in our love and faith in each other.

Warned you Darksheare ... my humor was buried (out in the backyard) after my humor died. Lord ... I miss my humor. Does anyone have a method to resurrect humor?

It’s probably not dead if you buried it up to its neck..
Unless you used ants.
You didn’t use ants, did you?

Good morning! Perhaps your humor just needs more potassium. Have a banana.

Humor did have some ants in the pants. Does that count?

Have been going to pookie's toons to help resurrect my humor. Pookie's toons are helping me during this difficult time of being humorless. Many smiles, LOLs, and much food for thought there at pookie's toons. View them as often as possible.

Heard humor out in the backyard a time or two recently laughing its head off while viewing pookie's toons. Maybe humor will come back to me soon, yet then again ... just don't know. Am missing my humor, resurrect my humor Lord, make it whole and intact and fully humorous, just like it used to be. Uh ... Lord am taking that back ... family hated my humor. In fact it was family that took my humor and buried it in the backyard. Family buried it deep Lord. I dig and I dig and all I see and hear are things which look like dirt, and no humor. The part about hearing dirt talking is starting to worry me. Must be digging in the wrong place. Excuse me all ... Going out in the backyard to dig some more ... Humor has to be there somewhere.

Humor ... oh Humor ... where for art thou Humor? I have a banana filled with potassium.

Shucks, maybe humor will come back to me some day. Hope humor doesn't bring that fluke with 'em. Will have to send humor back out to the backyard should that happen. Humor ... oh humor ... a banana awaits. Would it help if I put one of those plastic thingies over the banana?

Well, I’ll soon exchange one form of piracy for another.
In artillery it was, “Say, that’s a nice vehicle. It would be a shame if somebody were todrive off with it.”

In IT it’s, “Say, those are some nice files. It would be a shame if something were to happen to them.”

Using copy helps to leave all file intact. Stole it and sold it. Money making, its a steal now-a-days. Ask any government, and printing press.

uh oh ... am worried about this post. Will probably make another list.

“Yes! Because now we can get you! Bring out.. the rack!” *produces dish rack.*

Now that’s not very threatening.. *WHANG!* OW! You hit me in the shin with it!

“Yes! Now, confess your crimes!”

What are you *whang* OW! You hit me in the knee, what are you doing?!

Is this thing on?

I may have missed something. I have both an irony and a humor filter on my computer this morning. And I always assumed if I were from Lufkin, I would at least have the dignity to lie and say I was from Nacogdoches.

That particular horse invariably appears in control of all situations. Both the horse and the dog were watching closely (i.e., big fat heads in the way so that my husband couldn’t see what he was doing.) The horse picked up on the fact that the man wasn’t feeling well before anybody else did.

That horse also has a lot of cattitude. He likes his celery stalks cut into three bite-sized pieces, and gets miffed if I don’t stand there and hand them to him one at a time.

A VERY spoiled horse, eh?
At least he doesn’t have a huge pillow or something.

I don’t really understand “spoiled* in this context. Only two of us in this household like watermelon (the girl cat and me). It just makes sense to share watermelon with the horse. He likes that in bite-sized chunks, too. It takes an eternity for him to chew it all, so I just dump it in his bowl. He stands there and eats it if I hand feed him, but when I get tired and dump it, he takes a couple of steps backward and does this strange head movement (nods it up and down, looking at the bowl and then at me.) A couple of times when he picked up some melon from the bowl, it appeared to go down the wrong tube (kind of like what your nieces and nephews do when you make them laugh their snacks out of their noses like nasal machine guns, only his aerosolized melon sprays out of his mouth.) I think his swallowing mechanism is goofed up, so he prefers to eat with his head elevated. Doesn’t seem spoiled; seems like horse sense. No?

Enjoy! We have to go get crickets, again. Tom will get to drive ...

I just had one of those “I can’t believe I’m having to say this to an adult” conversations with DP, regarding how he and Bill are going to come up with a plan to take care of *their* reptiles which doesn’t involve *my* having to tell people to feed them and make all these trips to buy them crickets.

Ah, he may have an esophagal growth.
[Fibroid or whatever he vet wants tocall it]

I was thinking that he was spoiled like a pampered cat and expected the hyoomans to serve his every ear wiggling whim.
