I’m trying to do that Hillsdale course as well. I confess, I haven’t been diligent and thorough with the readings and those readings are very, very important.
did you purchase the book?
I did and am pretty well up on the readings. Find many of them laborious to wade through
My issue is my spotty internet connection. Lost it from 5 PM yesterday til about 9 this AM. very annoying. Hope you get your computer issues squared away & my vote is to let the good man help you upgrade. Lots of way to help God’s people and part of that walk is to be a gracious receiver as well as giver
HEAVY HEAVY SNOW FALLING here now.. pretty, coating the area quickly
Not going to services this AM. Following Mark Driscoll and his sermon this AM on Justification... issue of grace vs works(friend who is in NW USA and with the Mars Hills Church(s) in great Seattle area). Church critically evangelically oriented & branches in Oregon, California & NM. About 15,000 attend Sunday mornings at 14 locations. Lots of small groups etc. Church is centered around the Bible and the teachings of Jesus. Non denominational / independent. Mark took a few classes where I went to seminary. He already stood out as a pulpit man 20 years ago. Has written many good, easy practical books on the Christian life.
Started my first book on the iPad (Hunger games) last night. Finished my library books & my reading for my next Constitution class at Hillsdale college for tomorrow. This is my first experience reading a book NOT IN A BOOK! The movie on the first book(It is a trilogy) comes out the end of March so want to read book first. The library waits are long.. like 150th in line.
Cooking up a couple things today. An Asian creation.. snap peas, onions, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, garlic .. in sauce on brown rice. Also will make a few other things so I have things to just warm up.
Hope all have a great Lord’s day. It was tragic reading of the destruction & death surrounding the last storms in the midwest
Thinking of all the FReepers now on to their reward. Some were great/fun & some were a bit abrasive/annoying at times but all were patriots and used their minds and are missed by me. Also the MANY FReepers that are just gone.. (dead? banned? disheartened? ) I at one time had so many pings from so many FRiends on various topics and now they have vanished in the mist.
Happy Lord's Day! Check in to let us know you are still kicking! We have a lot of work to do to get that MESS out of the people's house in DC....
AND continue to heal dear Yorkie!!! Love you sweetie.
Since I've moved back to the old neighborhood, I get a lot of the same in real life. Old so-and-so? Oh, he died about 8 years ago. I get lots of that. And a few suprises. It's uncomfortable when you run into someone that you assumed would be dead, and he had the same assumption about you.... "Sh*t? You're still alive?!"
The joys of growing older.

Good evening FRiends. I’ve been out of pocket all weekend at a music festival, had a great time and it’s nice to have a break from the news from time to time.
Thanks to all for posting and checking in here. I believe we’re going to need every resource available for support in our beliefs and conservatism in the future.
At this moment, I’m not so sure about the “joys” of growing older. Perhaps I’m just tired. It is easy to be negative when you’re tired.
We’re back at home and basically, I spent the weekend looking at things beyond my budget and feeling that I wasn’t really being listened to when discussing what I wanted and needed. I’m told that I only need certain programs about 20% of the time and that 80% of the time, I just play and surf. Therefore, I don’t need ....
Maybe so. But, dadgummit, I need to get that 20% done and the rest is indeed optional.
Yes, the joys of growing older...”I’ve known her all my life, but for the life of me, I can’t remember her name,,,,
‘OH, Hi sweetie how are you, haven’t seen you in church for awhile”. “Oh it’s so nice you remember my nic-name”. LOL
Yep, growing older is fun and surprising, sometimes. You’ve left your “farm”?
It’s good seeing you Dolly. Try not to stay away so long.
So I could verify two grandchildren's names. I got one wrong, and figured out the other one I was missing before she called me back....
I'm semi suburban these days. Not allowed out in the wilderness anymore after that little kerfluffle where I almost died on the side of a mountain during a blizzard.
Bunch of pantywaistes around here.

Hi, Kitty! How are things shaping up this week?
Have you planted your garden this spring? I’ve done beets, radishes, onions, white and red, beans, potatoes and am going to try sweet potatoes, of course tomatoes 4 different kinds, okra for Roomey, cukes, watermelon and canteloupes. OH and corn, squash, 3 different kinds. My weeping rose has finally decided it wants to grow, and is putting out some new leaves and branches. Am in the process of doing a flower garden around the garden shed.
I'll tell you one thing. They can tear up a piece of ground and get rid of cover.

(((((God Bless)))))
Those chickens sound almost as bad ad wild hogs. I’ve seen areas, about 1/4 acre where the wild hogs tore up everything, Plus they are dangerous if someone gets in their way.
OH Kitty Mittens, take it easy and don’t overdo. Let the maid and hubby do for you.
: )
I think it is because we can’t get anyone to listen to us. No one seems willing to take the fight to the enemy and force the courts to listen to us. It is astounding how uninterested the courts of redress are.
I'm back momentarily. :) Couldn't keep quiet on Super Tuesday.
