Dear Friends, Sorry I couldn't be with you yesterday but as they say (sorta) "stuff happens." My back didn't hurt enough but this really threw it into a spasm. I did look at all your pretty graphics and poems and I enjoyed them all! Yorkie, I was so glad to see you posting your great graphics and poems again and I hate I couldn't be there., As you all will see below, this pretty well describes my day yesterday! My insurance man will be here today. I have put a note on the door as I'll be upstairs getting ready to go vote, then for a hair appointment. Hope I make it all! This was my little red barn storage building. The riding lawnmower is inside along with tools, etc. It also took out 2-3 pieces of the pool fence. I sure am glad I have a large yard in back as my house didn't get touched.

Praise God you weren’t hurt, and your dwelling was undamaged.
The pictures of your shed reminded me of the fate of the Construction-Site Porta-Potties in Boca after hurricane Wilma (2005).
Many of them ended up in people’s SWIMMING POOLS! Eyew.

Oh, Jaycee! How awful! I am so thankful that the barn was the only thing harmed and not YOU or your home! You must have been scared to death...I sure would have been! :(

Scary isn't a strong enough word.
So glad you were not hurt! Things can be replaced, people can't. Prayers for you, my friend, and all those who were/are in such danger. Please, be careful and take care of yourself!

that is some nasty damage. I was out of electricity for 24 hours and its amazing how quick your back in the 1800's...I have several oil lamps for such an occasion, but no internet and no tv, I have to read by oil lamp and candle light...we are spoiled aren't we....:O)...Lots of tree's down here in Michigan and the whole little town near by was out of electricity...usually if you have traffic lights they get on it pretty quick, but downed wires are first choice..My heat in the house only dropped to 66, we have had a mild winter...its cozy again..
I hate to walk my property to find out any damage, so far from my deck its only a few parts of shingles...clearing down tree's is not easy for a 73 year old, and my electric chain saw is limited by the length of the cords..but house did fine....thank God....hope your cleaned up soon....GG

I hope you get some help with insurance. Last year when I had trees down & into various buildings etc there was NO help unless it hit the house w/damage & then it was 1000 deductible.
I had 5 large trees down & estimates were about 4500. HAHAHA.
Had a few friends over to clear things up. Not hauled away or mulched up but chopped up & piled somewhat.
