When The Green Gits Back In The Trees
In spring, when the green gits back in the trees,
And the sun comes out and stays,
And yer boots pulls on with a good tight squeeze,
And you think of yer barefoot days;
When you ort to work and you want to not,
And you and yer wife agrees
It's time to spade up the garden lot,
When the green gits back in the trees—
Well! work is the least o’ _my_ idees
When the green, you know, gits back in the trees!
When the green gits back in the trees, and bees
Is a-buzzin’ aroun’ agin,
In that kind of a lazy go-as-you-please
Old gait they bum roun’ in;
When the groun’s all bald where the hay-rick stood,
And the crick ‘s riz, and the breeze
Coaxes the bloom in the old dogwood,
And the green gits back in the trees,—
I like, as I say, in sich scenes as these,
The time when the green gits back in the trees!
When the whole tail-feathers o’ wintertime
Is all pulled out and gone!
And the sap it thaws and begins to climb,
And the sweat it starts out on
A feller's forred, a-gittin’ down
At the old spring on his knees—
I kind o’ like jes’ a-loaferin’ roun’
When the green gits back in the trees—
Jes’ a-potterin’ roun’ as I—durn—please—
When the green, you know, gits back in the trees!

You Watch The Moon
You speak of moonlight, while I sweat,
Your evening hasnt got here yet.
The moon you see, will shine for me,
As I lie down with memory,
My worries, and the days heartaches,
And all the pain from my mistakes.
I gather calmness from the dusk,
And breathe the scents of evenings musk,
The twilight brings the evenings calm,
And confidence from your songs balm.
For you have seen this day and night,
And found it not a source for fright.
You faced the challenge, and in time,
Incorporated it in rhyme.
You walked with Day and held its hand,
While you stood strong in a foreign land.
The heart of evil that will try,
To harm us must first face your eye,
And you will cause its force to wither,
Before it dares to journey hither.
We thank you then for standing there,
While we sleep soundly without care.
Your loved ones and a grateful nation,
Protected from Wars desolation,
A world away, but held so close,
Each of us missing what we love most.
Take heart that as you watch the moon,
Your task will end, youll come home soon.

When in the midst of life with its problems,
Bent with our toil and burdens we bear;
Wonderful thought and deep consolation:
Jesus is always there. Lillenas
Our loving God is always nearforever by our side.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ever consider how rude it is to ignore Jesus and not ask for his wisdom and direction, in our daily decisions, and direction, when he is right beside us?
All the time!
Wish I had. When I see them all I think about is how the troops are doing and praying for them. Don’t think to save the pic. Gonna have to change my ways!
Start saving now! I print LOTS of them on the Thursday Edition of “Pray For Our American Heroes”.
Almost two or three weeks ago, I looked out the kitchen window and saw the trees and backyard lawn to be covered with Robins, never have I seen so many robins, hundreds, they must have been in their coming south for the winter. It was many, many, they drank, ate, rested and were around for about three days and then mostly gone. It was a delight for me. Precious! I was the fortunate one.
No pictures, my batteries were down. Then I expected they would be gone quickly so didn't run to get them. A mistake. A Lovely memory.
This is true so long as the person is asking for information or council, seeking/asking for answers, otherwise if usually rolls on by and they have little interest.
My experience.
