Talking to my wife. Apparently some Qurans were either thrown in garbage or not disposed of properly. Civilians are blaming the military but the deed was done by the locals. Still, locals are not taking it well.
They rioted all day and are now in the process of firing missiles into the base.
This operation from day one has been a cluster F* since we have been unable to control the civilian population.
Prayers for all.

If you are over there I heard the latrines were out due to putting out all the fires the “friendly” civilians caused

Rumors were started by the afghan garbagemen hauling garbage from the base that they found burnt korans in the trash. No one even knows if it’s true.

nope...they are shut down because the company that has the maintenance contract, FLOUR, hires all third-country and local nationals for their contracts...the TCN’s won’t clean the latrines or hook up the hoses to pump the water in and pump the gray and black water out...those jobs are for the locals...who were not allowed onto the base for the most part today
I will be writing a letter to congress and the media once I’m out of the world’s ass-crack...asscrackistan.
The goal should be to break up both countries into the tiny bits of their ethnic/religious/linguistic factions. They are far more manageable when they are fighting each other. Get Americans out of Af-Pak

I’m so SICK of these people and their faux religion and their fury over everything. They are the only ones in the world who behave that way and everyone walks on eggs to not cause them to riot. The commander at Bagram probably has orders to apologize...he should be mowing them down with 50-cals. They will still hate us but may think twice before getting in our face.I say every American should burn a koran in their driveway every friday afternoon.

What happened to the surge in Afghanistan? Wasn’t the goal to get things under control like after the surge in Iraq? (I am aware of the current Iraq shortcoming, I am talking post surge time frame)
BREAKING NEWS ALERT.. Today Afghani musses took a time out from killing christians and each other to ...well.. try and kill christian military men from the USA over some alleged Koran thing or the other... Tomorrow they will be back to their normal sacrament routine of ... well.... killing christians and each other.
