Agree here also.
What puzzles me is for all the research and evidence, these conservative icons so lightly dismiss the elegibility issue. Since 2008 I have never seen a point-by-point factual repudiation of the core “birther” arguements. The absence of intellectual curiosity is astounding.

As stated at the onset, the key word here is indeed "cowardice." Specifically, on the part of national leadership. Someone should have challenged then Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi when she certified Obama's eligibility for his presidential bid. One simple question would have sufficed: "WTF! Certified based on what?" Cowardice allowed that opportunity to slip away. At this point in history, no one remains inside the D.C. beltway with the intestinal fortitude to pull the pin on that hand grenade. No one wants to go down in history as the one who triggered CW II.

The telling point for me is and always been that every one of the court challenges gets squished before anything actually gets anywhere.
Every. Single. Time.
OK. Right, in Georgia, the evidence was entered, but then the judge turned right around, ignored it, ruled completely in accordance with orders from wherever — and it all went away.
Now, when somebody (ANYBODY) spends that much time, effort, political clout and money to keep something secret, it means there is something that is so nasty hidden away they do not dare let it see the light of day.
You really can’t draw any other conclusion.
Obama and his minions are fighting this with every thing they have because they know if it ever breaks lose, he’s going down — and a lot of people are going to go down with him.

This is so true. Where is the point-by-point factual repudiation? Calling the other side stupid without any repudiation is a liberal tactic.

Perhaps you simply haven't looked? There are many, many, many factual refutations of Birther inanity on FR alone.

It has likewise puzzled me that our supposed brilliant commentators never address the factual points, preferring to say instead "because I say so."
The Funny thing is, if you read what Ann Coulter and George Will both wrote about "anchor babies", you would realize that intellectually they are 100% on our side! Unfortunately, when the name "Obama" is brought up, their eyes simply glaze over and they simply parrot what the rest of the media says.

"Since 2008 I have never seen a point-by-point factual repudiation of the core birther arguements." Oh please. It's been so beat to death here on FR that most of the people trying to correct birther silliness have grown tired of it.
