As stated at the onset, the key word here is indeed "cowardice." Specifically, on the part of national leadership. Someone should have challenged then Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi when she certified Obama's eligibility for his presidential bid. One simple question would have sufficed: "WTF! Certified based on what?" Cowardice allowed that opportunity to slip away. At this point in history, no one remains inside the D.C. beltway with the intestinal fortitude to pull the pin on that hand grenade. No one wants to go down in history as the one who triggered CW II.
