EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. -- A teacher in Eagle County was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust with a pattern of sexual abuse.
Lauren Redfern, 25, is a physical education teacher at Basalt High School.
Redfern is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old male student over a duration of 4 months, deputies said.
She is being held without bond until she makes her first appearance before a judge.

Sort of want...if she can cook. She probably can judging from the pics. At the very least she’s probably a foodie.
As to lasting 4 minutes or 4 months....after all is said and done it isn’t worth it....sigh.
Gee, I always thought female physical education teachers were fugly, lesbo dykes.
I literally married my current wife of nearly 37 years the day after she graduated from high school! She was barely 18 and I was an old man of 19, almost 20.
How do you know she coerced him?
Back off and pay attention. This is not my opinion, I actually hold none regarding this event.
I simply summarized the position the Colorado authorities used to charge this woman, in answer to another posters question.
that poor 17 year old child
the horror.....i can’t bear it...sobbing hysterically now....mommy!
kill the wicked slattern....molesting that poor little child and all
The legs and lack of excessive “booty” put her over the line into “not guilty” territory ...
In most states, the age of consent is irrelevant when it involves a student/teacher relationship.
It’s not quite like a supervisor bullying a worker because the woman was a gym teacher and the student was unlikely to have been in her gym class.
See post #40, and I remember when I was 17.
Not quite-but I was referring to the advantage that an authority figure has-and sometimes uses in a reprehensible way.
Abuse of authority, violation of public trust for starters. By Colorado statutes this is still statutory rape because of the position of trust.
I am okay with locking the bitch up for a long time.

Where the heck were these teachers when I was in high school?!!
No kidding. Seventeen was a long time ago but I still remember it well enough to know I would have hit that so hard Fudd’s First Law Of Inertia would have kicked in.
(Fudd’s First Law Of Inertia from Firesign Theater is stated thus: “If you push something hard enough it will fall over.”)
That’s really wishful thinking - bullying a 17 year old into sex. LOL
Especially a 17 year old boy-but an attorney would no doubt point out that she did have that advantage, never mind the real world scenario.
Sort of like the relationship between an employer and an intern, right?
[That said, a teacher having sex with a student should still be worthy of dismissal-Ive worked for businesses that forbade sex between supervisors and those they supervised, and I agree with that.]
But how could a female phys. ed. intructor supervise a boy? Except for obvious reasons in this case.
a big hell yea!
my dear grandma too....finest woman i ever knew....4 kids before 20 ....and lived a righteous life for 89 years till 1996
