Essential reading: Palin, on Fox Business Network, says a brokered convention could happen and, if it does, she would "do whatever I could to help."
Read the transcript below.
BOLLING: Governor, a lot of people are saying it can't happen. I don't necessarily agree with them. If one of the nominees, one of the GOPers, doesn't get enough delegates, it could go the a brokered convention.
If it does get to that and someone said, Governor, would you be interested, would you be interested?
PALIN: Well, for one, I think that it could get to that. And I -- you know, if it had to -- if it had to be kind of closed up today, the whole nominating process, then we would be looking at a brokered convention.
I mean nobody is quite there yet. So I think that months from now, if that's the case, then, you know, all bets are off as to who it will be willing to offer themselves up in the name of service to their country. I would -- I would do whatever I could to help.
BOLLING: That's -- that's fantastic.

Sarah, If it’s a brokered convention then you had better step up. American can’t survive 4 or 8 more years of Obamney.
later
Not gonna happen, unfortunately. But it will sure be fun driving certain people nuts pretending that it will. BTT.
Sarah will run only if called. As it is now NONE of the GOP candidates get my vote.
Not a brokered convention but a deadlocked convention.
So entire websites and thousands of fanatical fans dedicated to Palin and begging her to run isn't being "called" enough?
Palin is not running for President. Saying she would do "whatever I could to help" does not mean she wants to be a candidate coming out of a brokered convention. And why would people want to draft a candidate who didn't want to be bothered with fighting through the primaries and making his/her case anyway? She's not running, let it go.
Technically that true but regardless we know ALL
what it means...and its most likely going to happen if things go on as they are after Supet Tuesday
I tend to believe so.
Brilliant chess-playing, and it just might work.
It saves her from being bloodied by RINO candidates, and puts her sharp wit directly up against Ubama's TelePrompTer.
That will be no contest.
It would be easier to nominate a mutually agreeable outside candidate in that circumstance so as not to favor or alienate one state's nominated choice over another.
You're delusional.
The Republican primary process has had nothing to do with anybody "making their case."
It's been all about state-controlled media unleashing lies and smears against any Republican candidate that wasn't Myth.
The goal is to win, not satisfy your voyeuristic compulsions.
Because anybody who wants power that badly should be automatically barred from having any power. Obama and Romney have a bad case of Barney Fife-itis.
agree....and sarah has already been vetted.
Then you are totally clueless on what Sarah has been saying for so long! Her message repeatly in speeches and interviews and even her book about leadership has been “being the reluctant servant” ala George Washington style. She said that a people shouldn’t be going around prostituting themselves on the alter of running for one office for years plus that she isn’t wired to scream to people to “pick me, pick me over here” attitude is and for someone to have a truly servants heart for the people, they have to be a reluctant candidate who serves because they are called to do their duty.
Her “ willing to offer themselves up in the name of service to their country” in this interview is right out of her ‘servants heart’ message that she has repeated over and over again — to many it means that she will offer herself if called and I believe that we are heading towards such a scenerio.
Because the "process" is a travesty with a predetermined outcome.
Yes, we've all heard that old bit of wisdom. Problem is, it's complete nonsense. Running for President of the United States is a really tough, brutal, exhausting, difficult and massively time consuming thing to do. A person has to really want it that bad to have any chance of winning. Anyone who couldn't be bothered with the primary process is unlikely to be a good general election candidate. As with any big goal, people start off with the small stuff and work their way up. Few are good in the first debates of a campaign, but getting better as they go. Few have polished stump speeches at the ready, but become more skilled as they go. I wouldn't trust anyone with the job that wasn't willing to work their rear end off for it. The presidency isn't the kind of thing you can walk away from halfway through because the opposition is too mean.
I just don’t want the “RNC leaders” and their friends to choose our candidate. They want romney for some crazy reason. If his the candidate, obama wins. I will not vote for romney.
I’m bookmarking your reply. If brokered, she will want a call.
If Palin is the nominee I'd vote for her, but it's not going to happen. Our candidate will be one of the current candidates. I'm supporting Newt and believe he is the only one with any real chance of winning - and even that will be a tough slog.
