Well, IIRC, in Revelations I believe there is a verse that says you can’t either take away or add to what is now commonly recognized as the old and new testaments. The Book of Mormon does that.

FTR this is Deuteronomy 4:2:

Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the L-RD your G-d that I give you. (NIV)
But then I have no dog in this fight.

Almost.

Since the NT was NOT compiled together yet; this argument is invalid.

The text ACTUALLY says:

Revelation 22:18-19

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.
And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
