If accepting Christ as Lord and Saviour is all that’s required, then they are at least as much Christian as some tribesman who accepted Christ at a missionary outpost and then went back to his tribe to live out the remainder of his days having no further contact with Christians.

Good try; but MOST MORMONs will have had VAST exposure to TRUE Christianity, and have made an INFORMED choice to STAY within the boundaries of MORMONism.

If you do believe that Jesus Christ is Lord (which I do as well), then you believe that Jesus should judge who is “Christian”, not you, not your preacher, and not the people on this thread.

It is more concise in Matthew 22:29-32 [NIV], where Jesus is speaking:

29 Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.
30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.
31 But about the resurrection of the dead--have you not read what God said to you, 32 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob' ? He is not the God of the dead but of the living."

It is Jesus speaking, and clearly, from his words, there is no marriage in heaven. This is the NIV translation.
