Mafia ? (Il zotto di pazzo)

Posted on 02/01/2012 3:44:24 PM PST by chrismac

It might be connected with the strange goings on around here : Our car stolen, with $4000 of damage; Our neighbour's healthy rabbit dying unexpectedly; Our neighbour's letterbox being destroyed; Curious spam emails about las vegas; The odd curious phone call; Faeces being smeared on our church Car windows smashed and things taken at church - they now have patrols as a result Breakin at church and organ damaged. Mysterious deaths of stars, such as Heath Ledger, Brittany and her husband, Michael Jackson, David Carradine, and others : http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2010/05/24/what-killed-brittanys- husband.html http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/31103217/ns/today-entertainment/t/david- carradine-found-dead-thailand-hotel/

Connect the dots if you dare, to see the truth.

No, I don’t watch much TV.

I have been doing 30 years worth of spring cleaning however.

If the Grammys were on later than 5:00 PST, I was in bed, finishing a book. Most days, I’m down for the count by 4:00 at the latest. I just run out of gas by then. Stamina is a very weak point with me. So I read a lot!!

*hug*

Temperature is relative. Those of us who live in the southern climes begin to gripe at temps below 60 in the day time. It takes about three years to adjust to the climate here.

Year One: DANG! It is so HOT here! Give me some A/C everywhere I go!

Year Two: This is really nice weather, except for the summers. I like all the sunshine in the spring and fall, though.

Year Three: MAN! I sure wish summer would come again so I could warm up a little! I just HATE these days below 70!

Yes, I DID name The Stig after Top Gear on BBCA. The Stig told me what his name was and said he took it because the TV show made me laugh so much. I took him at his word!!

Afternoon. Who spring-cleans in February in Canada? Snow-cleaning?

Leaving shortly for Sunday School. The children’s choir practice (Sally and Pat) was called off, so we didn’t have to go quite as early. I need to get appropriately dressed and then wake Kathleen up and feed her before we leave.

Jake was last spotted napping in Bill’s bed, looking rather distressed at the lack of Sunbeam. He doesn’t seem to be licking his injury, so hopefully we won’t have to get him a “Cone of Shame,” as they say on the Cheezburger site.

The American version of Top Gear is not nearly as good as the one on BBCA.

It would seem BBCA has access to unlimited funds from ALL car manufacturers, and that as long as The Stig is in residence (I was on the floor during the Christmas show, with a Baby Stig in the manger!) but the fact that they are allowed/encouraged to drive in various places of the world gives me a laugh that can’t be provided with any other show.

They just don’t have the T-shirt I want...

I do not like the American version as well as the BBC one. Yet this one did catch my eye and I did enjoy it.

Poor Jake. His hangover must be the size of King Kong.

Cold, wind and snow predicted for the next four days for over 4,000’. I’m so cold, now...

I need to go to Walmart for some food in the next day or so, but all my hughly thick winter clothes are in storage. Which reminds me that I need to get over there and move all the stuff into a bigger unit.

In the meantime, my plans are thwarted by the fact that I loaned my hole-punch to the Busdaddy, and now I need it so I can organize all my software. (This is actually a VERY good sign!)

Last night, I fell asleep around 7:00 and woke up at 3:00 AM. That is the longest stretch I have had for a while. And I actually went back to sleep until after 6:00. Still, as is so often with CFIDS, I woke up feeling very tired and sluggish.

And I had to go to 7/11 for “breakfast.” They have a very tasty sausage/maple/pancake wrap that is almost addictive!!

I’m very sorry you are having out winter weather...:o|

Yepper. The American version seems to be nothing more than a Wannabee Copycat of the BBC version. With the money the BBC version is awarded by the various car manufacturers and other advertising, there should never have been a US version. It sux.

So how do you like the books so far? (Just axin’!)

If/when you have the time, look up the BBCA hosts for that program. The bios will inspire you!

When you get about half-way, you will find you can’t wait to see what happens next...and then... on to the next book!

I found them in an office supply store in 1970, in a boxed paperback edition, and could NOT put them down until I had read the last page.

Since then, I have read them at least once for each year. And they are still my favorites. (Though the Harry Potter series is running a close second...)

“...lost every tuxedo cat”
We found a newborn tuxedo abandoned by his mom. We took him in, bottle fed him, nurtured him and he lived to be 15 months old. Turned out he was FLV positive. Good thing our vet dismissed him. They would have euthanized him on the spot. As it is, we had two city ferals and two country kittens who were dumped on our doorstep. Same vet was afraid he had killed them all because of missing the initial diagnosis. At least we got to enjoy our beautiful kitten for over a year, and all the other cats are just fine. The Creator always gets it right.
