Maybe it's about sending a message that these sites take a single side at their own risk?
I was a big fan of Townhall, but during the South Carolina primary it became obvious to me that they were outing themselves as anti-Gingrich.
I'm not necessarily taking the side of one candidate over the other, but I'm disappointed that a site that claims to represent conservative commentary would move to such a one-sided blogging experience.

You’ve already found it. FR is about all that’s left. Even Human Events soils itself by still keeps Ann Coulter around. Every major “conservative” news/opinion site except FRee Republic has sold its soul to the GOP establishment.

I like having several sites to read as well, and like someone else already said it is not about shielding my eyes from things I don't like; it is about not giving those in the establishment the revenue from my visit to their website.
I have American Thinker on my favorites. Years back I hear Rush mention it once. Quite a few years back. Rush is getting boring lately, and is a republican before he is conservative.. Everytime he gets married, he gets boring. Too much viagra taking the blood from his brain I guess..

His voice is all hyper for most of the show and he babbles on and on....and when he comes up for breath, I can't figure out what the hell point he's trying to make.
Today, one of his babbles was ranting on and on how he doesn't let criticism bother him...he just ignores it. It was so pointless and so "Talk Show Host 101" that I figure he must be getting such an extraordinary amount of criticism right now that it's unhinging him.
I've been a listener for 22 years....and he's been my mentor. So I don't say all this with relish. It's sad.
