I don’t know what the category is for next week, but if they have any smarts they will pick songs that suit their style that the audience can relate to, instead of choosing songs the like.
You, too? I had to run out of the other room to see the TV asking—who is James Durbin, do I know him?
and NOW they annouce she will be saved BEFORE she even sings for her life? Good Grief,,,what horsechit
"Ooops"
I was screaming at the TV—that was embarrassing. They made FOOLS out of themselves jumping on stage. America voted; deal with it, dogs.
I voted for Hollie 150 times last night. :) Watch out next week...I’ll vote if she hits all sour notes just for spite.
Me too!
Save! I was outside with Fish & Wildlife discussing ducks. Our ducks were deemed to be domesticated so we can KEEP THEM. Yay!
JLo’s new video must not be doing well if she’s running up on stage all outta control. Hope Barack wasn’t watching because apparently, it wasn’t about fairness and we must always have a level playing field, blah, blah.
Thankfully the judges still had the save.
It was a wonderful vote.
Americans don’t like to have someone or something shoved down their throats.
As for me.. I am tired of these Mariah/Whitney r&b type singers. Been there, done that.
That's right, America voted...some, such as yourself, voted for another singer 150 times, by your own admission. Do you really believe that constitutes "America voting" in any representational sense? Does that vote reflect the will of the show's viewers?
Who can possibly know? If there are grown adults who will vote for a contestant 150 times, what does an Idol vote tally ever mean?
I never vote for the contestants on this show, because I record it and watch it after the voting lines are closed due to work every Wednesday night. I never know which number to call for my favorites, and I don't get to see who performed well anyway. I'd never vote more than once or without viewing the performances to determine my nightly preferences.
The judges believed in Sanchez so much they knew they'd save her regardless of what she sang. There was no point in continuing. They ran onstage to comfort a 16-year-old girl participating in an emotionally and physically brutal competition who deserved the save as much as anyone ever has.
Where does all this vitriol aimed at Sanchez come from?
Since they have a save, why not use it for a singer that consistently blows their minds?
America is teeming with musical morons.
“Why are they even bothering to have her sing?”
That is the question I was asking lol.
I know the show is scripted to an extent but my gut reaction is because this was so over the top dramtic production of the save with all the judges running up on the stage, the grouping, etc. was Jessica really in any danger at all or even in the bottom 3 and they just staged this for publicity.
I think AI needs to release the numbers this time because I feel they knew they would not need the save for this season after looking at the voting numbers and patterns so far. Plus Steven did let the cat out of the bag so lots of questions if the save was even needed.
To me it seems to be shapeing into a either Skylar Vs. Sanchez or Sanchez Vs. Ledet finalily this season. But there pimping has not been working to good look at Deandre. I think they thought they had the new Michael Jackson with Deandre’s falsetto which was good but I don’t think American was getting that.
Unless one of these three, Skylar, Sanchez, or Ledet, have an unreal off night I don’t see them going home soon. Now if Colton and Phillip can really kick it up a few notches then it’s a different game hopefully but hey even Sanjaya made it to the top seven so who knows what going to happen with the voting. Then there is the Chris Daughtry debacle etc as examples of American getting it wrong when it comes to voting.
I guess the real question is will there be race riots in San Diego if JS is voted off or will someone just impolitely tip over their chair while leaving the banquet hall.
I wish Simon Cowell would have stayed on just to see his reaction to Steven Tyler each night. That would have been real entertainment. The Rocker Vs. The Brit sterotype of the two combo could have been hilarious with Randy trying to translate between them.
Awesome...so who's your favorite? The Reba type? The Dave Matthews type? Maybe the Michael W. Smith type?
Nobody's ever been there or done that.
Plus, Sanchez has shown she's not just a Whitney, or a Mariah (and anybody who'd lump those two together is really painting with a broad brush)...she owes as much to Beyonce and more modern female singers as she does to the two you mentioned.
What kind of singer is Hollie Cavanaugh? What's her type? Melissa Manchester?
Thank you Jonny :)
I just remembered the one more thing about Haly Rhienhart is that her spary on tan was so thick she made the uber tan George Hamilton look like a Twilight vampire pasty white fan-boy.
Wow...the fascist music “expert” sure does try to suck the fun out of these threads.
I think I’m gonna vote for Hollie 200 times next week. Just like a 12 year old girl.
Exactly. There isn’t any animosity to Jessica as a person, it comes down to personal tastes in music and song choices.
There will be a stunning turn of events on "American Idol" tonight, because TMZ has learned one of the absolute favorites to win the competition will be eliminated.Sources connected with the show tell TMZ ... producers are scrambling to persuade the judges to use their "save" on the contestant.
LOL, like it's their choice.
That entire scene was scripted.
Exactly.
