He said it was by the band Lifehouse. I think they are a Christian rock band. I only know Lifehouse salad dressing (which is really, really good).

I figured Colton would do the Lifehouse song. I put their song “Everything” on a mix-tape (well, CD) for somebody once.
I’m on the West Coast, so I haven’t seen the performance yet.

The mentor this week is Stevie Nicks.
The theme is Songs From Your Idols.
Colton is first and he gets the show off to a slow start with Lifehouse's "Everything". He picks up the pace half way through, thank goodness.
Good, but ...
Steven: Colton Dixon you are a dream come true for a judge on Idol. Perfect pitch. Star quality. Puts you over the top.
J-Lo: What a way to start the show! So emotional. I was moved. Wasn't about vocal acrobatics, it was about feeling the song. You're amazing.
Randy: I've been a fan since we met you a season or so ago. I believe in you. I love that song. I love that band. I feel your heart and passion. You don't hide it. You say World here I am. That performance was unbelievable! There's 9 people left, 9 weeks to go--I think I could be looking at a contender for the title! He wants to win, Ryan! He wants to win.
Colton: This is my favorite worship song (he gets choked up)
