Sorry for my abrupt exit last night-both my TV and internet cable went out so I missed all the Jermaine drama! Thanks a lot Comcast!

They dont have to bring anyone back, they could fill the time reading humorous tweets. LOL! That would be more entertaining than most of the songs last night :)

Aerosmith used to tour with White Lion...I dont think Tyler has an issue with Colton...something about White Lion sticks in his craw... That's how it seemed to me too, like Steven had a problem with more than just the song choice. I googled "White Lion Steven Tyler" and couldn't find anything specific.
But Mike Tramp, the lead singer of White Lion, had this to say:
'American Idol's' Colton Dixon Sings Hair-Metal Hit; White Lion Frontman Praises Performance, Lays Into Steven Tyler
... Steven Tyler, on the other hand, thought it was the wrong song for Dixons voice and passion and added, I didnt feel the song go anywhere. But what did White Lions own singer think of Dixons performance? We reached rocker and co-writer Mike Tramp in his home country of Denmark where he told THR he had nothing but praise and the absolutely the best to say about Colton, his voice and his passion for music. I enjoyed his performance and conviction of the song. Colton has my support all the way, he is a true star.
As for Tylers comments, Tramp seemed baffled, especially since the two frontmen go back. Said Tramp: What's wrong with Tyler? White Lion toured with Aerosmith for three months back in 1987 and we became friends. I would say he knows pretty well who White Lion is and that Broken Heart is a key part in the foundation to the band and why we were successful in the 80s.
Tramp didnt cut Idols backing band much slack, either. Its a shame they couldn't lay down a better groove based on what they get paid or at least listen to the original better, even though they were doing their own version, he jabbed.

I could be wrong but in that 60 minutes show dealing with Tyler, the other band members said that Tyler was very competitive even with his own band members. They also said he was mean and cruel. I’m thinking he may be a diva and just didn’t like that Colton did a song by a rival band that Tyler had toured with, even from so long ago. Tyler is a strange duck. He said the other members of Aerosmith rode his coat tails. I can see why there was dissension in the group. He seems to have a need to be the ONE in the spotlight.

Yeah, that was interesting, that 60 mins show on Tyler. Those band members HATE him and Steven admitted it. Who knows what goes on when there is one front guy in a band? Steven is obviously a pretty good musician.

Oh no! You didn’t really miss much with Jermaine. It was very anti-climatic. There was a video of Nigel and....some other British guy whose name I don’t remember confronting Jermaine and he really didn’t have much to say. He tried to say one of the fights was a “misunderstanding between friends”.

Interesting. I remember a few years ago he and Joe Perry, the Aerosmith guitar player, really got into it in a public way, which included them knocking each other off the stage. If I recall correctly, it even led to them saying the band was breaking up or that either Steven or Joe had left the band.

I also noticed Randy back to his no help help. One person gets told to make the song their own and another gets told to just leave the song alone and sing it the way its written. Make up your mind Randy. I agree. I actually enjoyed listening to Steven Tyler's crtiques last night. For once, everything wasn't "beautiful".
