Consider this.....History in written by the victors....I was watching a great series on Netflix.... "The Pyramid Code" which provides a much more reasonable explanation of things Egypt than the standard "tales"
We keep being told the Pyramids were tombs built by Pharaohs, but there were never any mummies found in the Great Pyramid.....
Another thought that was raised was that there were great Female Pharaohs that reigned over great years of peace, but who were then almost erased by religious leaders, MEN, who followed them..
To this end I offer the suggestion that all Egyptologists ignore: That the nose of the Sphinx was removed to prevent others from seeing the resemblance to a female....
I will rely on more HTML folks to provide a picture of the Sphinx, and you all can ponder the possibilities
I’d never seen that image of the Sphinx as Anubis. That makes a lot more sense proportionally. What a grand statue that must have been when it was new. However far back in time that might be.
Thank you. Director of the “Center for Ancient Astronaut Research”? Now I get it, LOL.

The conceptual grasp of how to reasonably represent human features of either gender, or possibly even the skill to do it, is lacking in other Egyptian artifacts originating in close proximity to the presumed era in which the Sphinx was created.
So, that alone sort of blows the anachronistic application of feminist grievance neohistory upon a later disfiguration. That is, unless it actually was an identifiably female facial structure, oddly sculpted in a culture that did not exibit this conceptualization or this skill elsewhere.
Me, I believe it’s an antediluvian artifact. Cultures worldwide have their flood legends that are similar to a remarkable degree. I’ll just choose to accept that there was an historical event providing the basis for all of them.
It’s erosion from rapidly flowing water.
LOL. His hair is like a tsunami coming to shore, it piles up in height as it reaches his receding hairline. Undoubtedly the work of aliens.
It would not change, by one iota, my life, circumstances, family, future, the world's man made and natural disasters, or the political crisis we face in America.
Just sayin'
LOL!!
I watched this. The thing that ticks me off the most about any documentary is being loaded with more questions than potential answers. This one in my opinion is nothing but 80% questions and them some bits of scholarship, and then condemnation about classical knowledge, and then more questions. All in all, not very convincing if you ask me.
They totally lost my support when they started claiming cracks in the great stones of one of the pyramids were suspiciously emergent and that the Egyptian Department of Antiquities was trying to cover it up through restoration.
Anyone that has ever worked with concrete knows what happens to an inside corner if not relieved with a cut line....they showed a ‘crack’ in the corner of a passageway and tried to pass it off as suspicious ——bunkum....
"In his ground-breaking book Fingerprints of the Gods (Heinemann-Mandarin), Hancock pointed out that the 'First Time' date of 10,500 BC also denoted the beginning or 'First Time' of the Age of Leo. This was when the 'lion' constellation would have risen heliacally (at dawn before the sun) on the day of the spring (vernal) equinox. This event brought the celestial lion to rest due east, thus in perfect alignment with the Sphinx. The Sphinx, in other words, was made to look at his own image in the horizon - and consequently at his own 'time'. Hancock pointed out that 10,500 BC was no random date. It very precisely denoted another beginning, that of Orion-Osiris defined on the ground with the pattern and alignments of the nearby Pyramids."

Thanks The Wizard. This should be in the GGG catalog, and I didn't put it there. However, this topic should provide some levity for everyone's weekend. |

Nice pic choice!
If it turns out to be female, a football-sized veil will placed over the face of the Sphinx together with a Titanic-sized burkha extending to the tail.
