Do you know I haven’t started the paperwork yet?

Lots of things happened and I put it off as long as
possible. I did go and pay the property taxes. (city)
(county) Next month! I may have to come and live with
some of you as those two things cost an arm and leg! LOL!

She lost her sight within 6 days. Its called SARDs. Quite rare with only 4000 cases last year..My vet had an another vet look at her (he is a vet that deals only with blind dogs and eye problems) After checking out Pepper he left the room and my vet told me ....you have just had a 250 dollar exam for nothing....I called him on monday and said she was going blind so he had a specialist friend come in to check her out friday when I had my appointment....It was either a optic nerve inflammation which would be cured by the antibiotics he gave me or she had SARDs and there was no know cause and no cure...Some dogs have been know to go blind within 12 hours...

I think when she went deaf it bothered her more, she got depressed, but is handling blindness fine...she is a old gal, like me, she is going on 13...

I was so worried about her, I finally decided to take it a day at a time...I don't think about tomorrow or next week with her, just today....makes it easier on me also...

Did your brothers dog blind suddenly or was it an injury..?

I have been told posting pictures is easy and have had some freepers kind enough to write out how to do it...I cannot post a picture if my life depended on it...Have a hard time following written directions, poor old brain just won't cooperate...

I just had to share this with you all. It is so sweet and touching. I promise you a blessing if you watch it. My daughter in law just sent it! It is about a State Trooper who tells a tale.

Well, I did go to the Humane Society - and the dog I was looking for was not there. There were mostly very large dogs, and every one of them was jumping up and down, barking loudly, "PICK ME! PICK MEEEEEEEE!!!"The large majority of them appeared to be Staffordshire Terrier or Pit Bull mix.

I walked out of there sad for those left behind, and sad for the dog that wasn't there. The adoption 'counselor' knew every dog by name, and said they are not like that outside the cage in the 'play area'. There, (she said), they are very loving, quiet dogs.

I left without a furry kid.
