Finally found it (I've really got to organize my pictures).
Here's Mom, Don and me...
“John 2:28-3:3
King James Version (KJV)
28.And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
29.If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
1 John 3
1.Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2.Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3.And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. ...”

“...
). Looking forward to Jesus return fills us with hopenot a wish-list kind of hope, but a solid expectation that motivates us to keep our hearts from sinful distractions and rivets our attention on becoming more like Him. If we really believe that this might be the year of His return, we will be more ready to forgive, to seek forgiveness, and to share Gods unconditional love with others. ..”

Emphasis needed.
We both learned some things in our separate incidents. I was so astounded that this officer asked me to open the trunk and of course, I had to move some stuff out to get to that little spare. He did put on some cotton gloves and got down on one knee and went to work. The only thing he complained about was that awful piece of metal called a jack...LOL! It was one like I’d never seen before.
I’ve lived a long time in this world and I did not know a policeman would fix a flat tire for anyone. And what I thought was so nice, he had seen the whole thing and saw my hub cap fly loose and he parked and got it and brought it to where I was parked. He told me about it, I didn’t witness him at all until he drove up. I plan to get that letter to the editor written today or tomorrow. He wasn’t only helpful but such a sweet gentleman with a smile on his face. ((Needless to say, my son was glad the job was finished by the time he got there.))
You and I will always remember the nice things an officer did for us!
What a wonderful article, Dave. I know she must have been a proud and happy Mom. And both of you looked quite healthy! Its so good that the article is still around! Are you and your brother really close? Do you think alike, etc. as I’ve heard twins do?
Did you call your insurance company? Are you insured against the damage?
Another one of those 'holiday' Mondays. Throws my whole week off...lol.
LOL...that’s just about right. Nothing more than photo ops for the squatter!
I see Sacred Heart Hospital...you're a transplant?
hahaha
The only caveat to that is if, it is likely to cause the death of the one offering aid, find a way to get help and figure a way to minimize the risk. Not helpful to join and create two people to be saved in a critical condition. Being prepared, and carrying supplies that are needed in a place like Alaska, is a must. Time is critical where the temperature is 30-60 degrees below zero. Definitely not a time or place to allow feelings to be involved in the rescue God is there. Call on Him believing he will answer. Do what is possible and ask him for the impossible, in Jesus name, amen.
There was also a picture in the evening paper on Jan 1st. That photo also had a small picture of my Dad. Now you can see why he went out and bought dozens of copies of the newspapers to send to his siblings and extended family.
I see Sacred Heart Hospital...you're a transplant?
LOL!!! Good one.
Sacred Heart Hospital is still operating. Lots of new buildings on the campus.
Oh, two of our three daughters were born in the same hospital.
Them days are gone for sure! Before long there won't be ANY newspapers being published. We used to get the Bee but of course being rural delivery it was a guessing game as to whether it would be there or not or would it be the Record. Finally cancelled about 4 years ago. Actually, the only thing I did with it was the crossword puzzle before I left for work each morning. lol
The creek didn’t rise but its cold as heck! It was 32 early this morning and its still 32..The insurance office is closed today! I thought I’d go to the Courthouse to pay my city property taxes and then I thought, “They’re closed, too.” I have stayed in and stayed warm. Took a few decorations down. I didn’t put up as much this year as usual and so its a little easier! But I’ll finish after while or in the morning.
Greg wants his son in law to have a mechanic where he works to look underneath the car to be sure nothing is damaged. Good idea, huh?
I remember when we had a morning and evening paper, too!
I think it's a wise decision to have someone who knows about cars check it out, just in case! You just never know.
LOL!

Thank you, Meg! And for the pansies....isn’t it remarkable how pansies will grow in cold weather? I could have some now but too busy and I’m not in the flower mood, I guess.
I had to run to Walgreen’s just now and its now 30 and I saw a little spitting snow, nothing much but it was there.
I was complaining to the gentleman at the check-out counter about the weather and he said, “But, just think, spring is coming.” Isn’t that a wonderful thought? However, we have all our snow in January and February. God gives it so we’ll take it and try not to complain too much....LOL!
