You are looking at a very rare, never sold publicly die cast truck. It is an aged version replica of Sam Walton's 1979 Ford Pick Up Truck. This is similar to the condition of the truck Sam drove until the day he passed. He never purchased a new car. This truck has a tool box and a dog kennel transport box with opening kennel doors. The tailgate and doors open as does the hood - revealing a very detailed engine. I'm told by a good source that there was less then 100 of these produced. These were produced for a fund raiser and only one or two were issued to selected Wal-Marts stores around the world. Only employees could place bids on this model and of course the highest bidder would win it. The scale is 1:24th. It measures out at 9" Length x 3.5" Width x 3" Height. Manufactured by JTC Fine Collectibles.
The truck in post 91 has different wheels and has chrome outside door mirrors and possibly a difference in the seat. So there must have been 2 issues of the truck, making it even more rare.
The truly collectible die casts are those like this one, that were only made in very small quantities and usually not offered to the public. Good luck to you and Peggy in this re-arraingement of your lives, and Happy New Year.
