Exactly.
I encountered one of these militant breastfeeding mama's once years ago.
She was a very overweight leftover hippie type who was walking through the store shirt WIDE open (which was wide considering her size) and both enormous boobs hanging out for the whole world to see.
It was NOT a pretty sight.
FWIW, I am a huge fan of nursing babies, I did so myself, but never used it as an excuse to make an exhibitionist of myself.
Another side to the issue is that if we’re on our way to becoming a second or even third world country, under the stewardship of our Int’l Man of Mystery & Dear Leader—well, I suppose we’re going to have to get used to seeing one anothers’ private glands displayed in public places, as at a Matamoros market.
But you didn’t have a baby to gain a prop for political theater.
Breast feeding is a natural act, just like changing a dirty diaper. You don’t need either one of them out for public display. When I go to the mall, to shop; I don’t want to see some exhibitionists showing off their assets, and I don’t want to see any naked, dirty baby ‘assets’ either.
Roger that.
There are plenty of other "natural" processes, that I've no desire to see people perform in public, either.
I breastfed all my children and never once needed to sit in a public place where any one person might have been uncomfortable. Besides, I thought more of my child's quiet and comfort than to sit somewhere where noise and passersby might make my baby less relaxed. My children deserved peace and quiet and a time with me alone when I could sing and rock them as they nursed. I did not have to rush them in order to finish shopping, or because strangers might look our way. They did not need to be used as my statement on breastfeeding in order to advance my personal opinion or desires. One who truly cares about the child's comfort more than just flaunting one's opinion in the face of others plans ahead and finds a quiet, private place, or brings a bottle for those times when they are in public.
You are so right. If she "flopped it out" for the entire world to see and didn't make an effort to be discreet, I can understand if the store asked her to "take it to her car", etc. If she did it right and sat in the cafe or Starbucks, etc, neither Target nor their customers would have even known a baby was being fed.
The pic confirms what we expect . . the usual cast of suspects
everything gets exploited these days.
“Walmart and their shoppers tend to be more conservative”
Where is your /sarc tag? I have seen more teetas in Wally weird and there was NO baby attached.
You can breastfeed in public without showing your boob. Growing up in church I seen it done all the time with women 3 ft. from me. These women want to expose it up in your face and dare you to look so they can scream pervert and bash men.
Tired of the moral fascism of leftists.
If no one looked at them they would probably never do it again. No fun if you can’t shock people.
Liberals always need to show how they are much more enlightened than the masses.
Gregg Steinhafel, the Target President and CEO has donated exclusively to Republicans.
Target, Democratic;
WalMart, Republican.
Sears, Democratic,
Macy’s Republican;
Margarine, Democratic,
butter, Republican.
Dollar Store, Republican,
specialty shops (especially Boutiques, Democratic.
miniskirt, Democratic,
black dress with pearls Republican;
Dunkin Donuts, Republican
Starbucks, democrat
Obviously a Romney "republican"
From what I've seen liberals can run very good businesses. They can be generous to their employees and environmentally sensitive with money that they earn. Just keep them out of government and away from other people's money.
A glimpse? No. I prefer to not have to explain to my 2 year old why a bunch of common decency lacking narcissistic attention whores feel compelled to expose their mammary glands en masse in public order to satisfy their warped sense of self entitlement. I prefer to simply finish my shopping and leave the store without incident, letting my 2 year old keep her innocence for a bit longer.
