This same thing happened to me. My daughter is a physics major at University of Colorado at Boulder. The main thing she likes is his anti-military foreign policies.

Try pointing out to her that in an age of ICBMs, the oceans are no longer sufficient buffer to forestall losses while we rebuild a neglected military, as we did in World Wars I and II.

Point out that China is bidding fair in the short term to become the "Arsenal of Marxism" before their demographic time bomb begins its inevitable implosion in 15-20 years.
