My family and I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! I offer this to all because Christmas is a holiday for all, whether you are a Christian believer or not. The message of Christmas is full of hope, peace, joy, and the fellowship of all mankind; so I find it amazing that every year we hear more accounts of a ramped up war on Christmas.
How sad and ironic that a handful of grinches are at war with the annual celebration of the birth of the Prince of Peace, whose coming was prophesied centuries earlier and was then gloriously heralded by the angels with a blessing for peace on earth and good will toward men. Even if one doesnt believe the story, cant one at least recognize the beauty of the message? Or at the very least, let everyone else enjoy the season without throwing a temper tantrum at the sight of a Nativity scene? People who feel affronted by a baby in a humble Manger display or a few Christmas carols have truly lost all sense of proportion and seem to be most in need of some holiday cheer.
At a time when our country is divided on so many things, Christmas unites us. Its a beautiful part of our culture, and for many of us its a beautiful part of our Faith. In fact, for believers its the main thing. In todays tumultuous times we can remember the bibles record of Three Wise Men from the East who received an angelic message of Jesus birth. They may have been unsure of the message, so they sought truth. They trekked to Bethlehem to find out more. There, they found Jesus and they honored Him. The story of the wise men reminds us that today wise men still seek Him. So in this season especially, lets seek truth.
Lets celebrate with family and friends. Lets shout a cheery Merry Christmas to everyone we meet. Lets remember our brave men and women in uniform defending us far from home. And lets all pray for a peaceful New Year.
From our home to yours, Merry Christmas.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:14)
Jesus is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas indeed.
Nice message.
Same back atcha, all you Palins and Palin fans!
Why? Sarah has removed herself from the public debate. She’s yesterday’s mashed potatoes.
I would have gone door to door campaigning for her. I’ve never before had a candidate I felt that strongly about. Now who do I have to vote for? NEWT? Puhleese.
I’m gonna stay home this year and not vote. To those who say to that “then Obama will win”......yes, I know. Please don’t gleefully rub it in.
Psalm 146:3: “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.”
Turns out the verse works for princesses, too.
Really?
Can’t even give it a break for Christmas? You suck.
“Im gonna stay home this year and not vote.”
I’m with you on this one! I’m not voting this year, either. Now next year is a totally different matter.
Yes. Really.
Matthew 2:112
Visit of Wise Men
2 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men bfrom the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.
3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
5 So they said to him, In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:
6 But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.
9 When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.
Thanks for that Mesta, Sarah Knows what she is talking about!

FPS...there is NO Biblical record of THREE Wise Men...that is what I was getting at...I’m familiar with the rest of it...
Actually, some believe there were more, but winnowed it down to three because of the three gifts. For you to make jab at it is kind of nitpicky though.
Precisely...they MAY have been more. Is it so difficult to state that wise men visited Jesus at his house? Proclaiming the truth isn’t ‘nitpicky’ in my world. YMMV, of course.
What a disgusting capitulation. You have a chance to begin a reversal and because you apparently cannot get your perfect candidate, you’ll allow evil to win.
It’s pretty much the accepted meme. Can’t see what the big deal is. And it isn’t even my Book.
Like Sarah said, I take joy in the joy of others freely expressing their love and faith as I m free to express mine. It’s a beautiful thing, faith. G-d rules. If we lose our faith, we lose all hope and are left then with nothing.
That is not a future I look forward to.
So to all, a Very Blessed Christmas and a Happy Chanukah. Shine the Light upon a dark and dreary world.
And that is why You and Sarah are both Very Beautiful People, both inside and out.
Yes, it is important to remember that G-D does rule all and if we let ourselves be overcome by the bad (the treasonous Fast & Furious, all the horrible things that go in China, Iran, & North Korea) than we become empty.
It is important to remember our blessings this time of year, and to look forward to better days before us.
May you have a wonderful Festival and I pray Love fills your life from your loved ones Mesta, you sure have earned it.
G-D bless
Tom

Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings, who cannot save.
Obama is yesterday’s leftover ground meat.
