In a blatant and unavoidably successful bid for publicity, extramarrital affairs website Ashleymadison.com has unveiled a giant billboard supporting the formerly philandering White House contender. It cheekily proclaims: Faithful Republican Unfaithful Husband, reports the political website Think Progress.
(PHOTOS: A Look at Gingrichs Career)
The billboard which had gone up roadside in Bucks County, Pennsylvania comes complete with a picture of Gingrich with his finger on his lips in a ssh gesture. The surging GOP contender has an infamously checkered past when it comes to fidelity, with two of his three marriages ending in divorce after he had affairs with younger women.
The dating website which adopts the tagline Life is short, Have an affair has no qualms about the poster. Now that Newt is the leading contender in the race for the GOP nomination, we felt compelled to make a point to illustrate how times have changed when a serial divorcee/adulterer is capturing the hearts of the American people, said Noel Biderman, the founder of the cheaters website, as reported by Think Progress.
Perhaps Gingrich can take heart from the old advertising maxim: theres no such thing as bad publicity.

Of every car that passes that billboard 1 in 2 people will have been divorced or thinking about it. Most divorces are caused by infidelity.
This type of negative campaigning will not hurt Newt but it may very well hurt the campaign which paid for, or promoted it.

Hey, the Left thought it was okay when William the Impeached cheated on HIS wife with a younger girl, and they linked arms around him to shield him.
Why are they singing differently for Newt?
Oh, it’s that Republican thing again...
Well said.
***Oh, and I just heard that Obama is really scared of Romney and would rather run against Newt. ....Right!***
Not sure about that. Romney is better looking than Obama. He could get the womens’ vote. Nah - that can’t be it.
Which means that about 60% of the people stay in their first marriage.
Come on, divorce is divorce, and the real issue is every time an election cycle rolls around, we go nuts, use our ideals to turn on one another, and we devour our own.
I want a President whose loyalty to my country, democracy, and my goodwill I don’t have to question. As a statesman, has he or she demonstrated those qualities?
Spare me the piety about who he or she is in marriage reflects how he/she will lead my country. I had high opinions of Kennedy and Clinton too, and Carter was a moron. I don’t care. Will this person be a leader?
That’s not good.
There were two different sets of data. One was 60% and one 40% for first marriages.
I didn’t do the research - I just cut & paste.
Within my family - 2 generations:
10 siblings - no divorces.
40 cousins - 5 divorces 2 remarriages
Most of my elderly friends and neighbors are on their 2nd and 3rd marriages as a result of divorce and some are widowed from the 1st and 2nd marriages. So, yes I have seen a huge increase in divorce and ‘partnerships’ w/o marriage over 3 generations.
H’mm an endorsement from this site or from the NY Times???? which to fear the most???
Why?
Have you ever heard the term, ‘moral equivalence’?
I remember when he was in office and he had a homosexual affair and snorted coke with Larry Sinclair
Is that what they are talking about?
Oh wait... that was Obama.
Herman Cain could be asked do the TV commercials I guess.
lol.
Do I sound like I care?
Looks like they're succeeding.
Traditionally conservatives have eschewed moral equivalence. Liberals embrace it.
And?...........
