In case the morning talk show profiles, CNN updates and frequent monologue jokes weren't enough to demonstrate the cultural zeitgeist of Tim Tebow, the Denver Broncos quarterback was the subject of a sketch on this weekend's episode of "Saturday Night Live."

Actually, this skit was less offensive than some of the outright racist comments by black analysts on the sports shows. There have been much nastier remarks from ESPN than SNL

I can appreciate absurdest humor. The idea Jesus would manifest himself to a human and tell him not to worship Him so much or give Him so much credit is so absurd that I could get a snort out of it. I doubt the writer was coming from that space.

I gurarantee the writer wasn’t a Christian and was indulging himself by putting his own words into the Lords mouth.
