OK, this is not a flame thread. I'm genuinely curious why conservatives think Communism is so evil.
I am a Communist. I am also a God-fearing Christian, a tax-paying and loyal American, and a generally nice guy. Communism was perverted by third world despots and was never implemented fully in its true form.
Communism is about cooperation and good will. And it's important to note that economic success and cooperation are not mutally exclusive. In fact, I would argue greater cooperation among individuals leads to more prosperity and more overall happiness.
Read The Road To Serfdom and other things to educate yourself, if you are serious.
Hmm..well, for starters, it is an unworkable utopian scheme that historically has always ended in disaster, slavery, and a totalitarian government. Those who sought, and seek, to deprive people of their lives, their liberty, and their property, inevitably become despots of the worst sort, regardless of their motives. That, and the fact that unlike our scheme of government, communism in no way reflects natural law. As Locke pointed out, people desire their lives, their liberty, and their property. Any scheme, whether it be communism or its stepping stone, socialism, that flies in the face of people’s desires to pursue their own ends is ultimately doomed to failure. And history shows us what that entails.
Do you have six hours to read all the reasons? No? Well I’ll sum it up.
Communism gives you the false belief it brings equality but what it does is create two classes of people, the political class and the enslaved class. The political class can control all aspects of the enslaved class under the guise of ‘equality’.
It really is a caste type system in that once one is in its class, it can never leave. There is no motivation for productive movement. You can’t invent your way out of your class, you can’t work your way out of your class, you can’t create your way out of your class. The only way out of your class is to somehow become part of the political class, which historically shows it comes through corruption.
In a Capitalistic society, a poor child of a single mother can become President or a college drop out can create a billion dollar company in his garage. In a Capitalistic society, if you have musical talent, you can freely choose to explore a career in your talent.
On the other hand, in a Communist society, you become whatever the State deems is better for the collective whole.
Capitalism has risks that you won’t succeed, but it gives you the freedom to try.
Communism promises you ‘equality of outcome’ but that outcome is always controlled by others (the political class) and never gives you the freedom to grow. As usual, the only equality that can be guaranteed is the equality of the lowest common denominator, thus everyone is equally in poverty.
Which would you rather have, the freedom to take a chance and explore your own path or the equality of failure?
ZOT! Immediately ping!
ZOT! ZOT! ZOT! ZOT! ZOT!.......

a hundred million dead people ain’t a good enough reason for you to understand something?
I do not have to read Tea leaves to know what is in your future; “This account has been banned or suspended”. Did you sneak upstairs and play with your mommy’s computer again?
It crushes individual rights in favor of the collective (which can be read ‘totalitarian state’). If you love communism, you abhor freedom.
Communism is the creation of evil. ALL who believe in communism have evil in their heart.
either you are joking, very young, or you are incredibly naive about the realities of human nature.
Zot
Have you done any research on Communism?
In the 20th Century alone, over 100 million people were killed by Communist leaders.
And I'm not talking about warfare. I'm talking about Communist regimes killing its own citizens.
There's a famous satellite photo out there of The Korean Peninsula at night that shows the stark difference between Communist North Korea and Capitalist South Korea.
If that photo doesn't cure you of Communism, nothing will.
Come on...how did this piece of refuse make it in here? We as a group disagree on a number of issues but I think we all agree on basic RIGHTS.
This POS is posting here? Please...I come here to be with like-minded (mostly that is) individuals.
ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT PLEASE!
I am actually sad that this pig’s account has been suspended. I wanted to find out which chapter of SEIU he was from.
I could have gotten it a little quicker, but the sheer ignorance stuned me.
I even forgot to ping the admin mod....
And I have question for you, “Who is John Galt?”
when I found this thread there where ten posts. I quickly wrote and posted at #35 and the zot was over. We are fast!
