lobbyist are not all the villians the old media would suggest. Some issues are worth lobbying for. Barney will most likely represent the boy —call me homophobic and pedophobic; but there it is.

Just a random example.
http://www.opensecrets.org/revolving/reverse.php
Jim McDermott’s chief of staff (Diane Shust) came directly from the NEA, all 11 other staffers also came from the NEA. Among his top donors are the NEA, Intl Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Machinists/Aerospace Workers Union, New York Life Insurance, Operating Engineers Union.
You either want to clean up Washington or you don’t, there is no in between.

Don’t get me wrong, I despise unions and never buy anything with such a label. The corruption and unconstitional requirement allow unions to steal money from workers (they call it dues) in order to buy votes. But, many people contribute to organizations involved with other causes and these groups lobby too. Are you telling me, you don’t ever contribute to other groups, ever? NRA?

Nice example but they also give money to guys like Harry Reid and there are literally thousands of others oozing through Washington but its pretty obvious that its a reality you don't want to think about.

To further cloud the issue of lobby’s please keep in mind that government and its workers are far and away the biggest lobby group. Are we to allow them to be the only lobby group?? I await your interesting comments.

No. More trust than Romney, Huntsman, or Zero...
But not more than Bachmann, Paul, or Perry.
