A New York woman is being scrutinized and praised after people learned that she used a dating website to obtain $1,200 a month in free meals.
According to Business Insider, 23-year-old Jessica Sporty was deep in debt. Sporty had difficulties living on her $45,000 annual salary after spending nearly $1,500 a month in rent, paying her credit card bill, and buying food.
So she hatched up a plan and signed up with the popular online dating site Match.com so she could quickly go on five dates a week. Sporty even maintained a spreadsheet with detailed information on each of her dates, limiting each guy to a maximum of five.
Dates took Sporty to high-end New York restaurants, and one of her dates even bought her a $200 bottle of champagne.
“Before I barely had enough money to pay for food,” said Sporty. “After using Match.com I found I wasn’t going into debt anymore.”

As of today, Sporty is no longer on the dating website as she is currently in a relationship and most likely freeloading off her new beau.
“It was exhausting,” she said. “I needed my sleep and I was done playing the game.”

We’ve had better musical outcomes, but it was worth our salary (nothing), and those who didn’t like our music could enjoy James and Frank reenacting the Pearl Harbor bombing on the risers behind me. In hindsight, letting them bring the airplanes was a mistake ...

Nice decor! We have a natural-gas fireplace, but it’s far too warm in the house today to turn it on. Not that I mind a low gas bill, but some indications of winter would be atmospheric, this time of year.

I thought they could play quietly, since the airplanes are cast metal and don’t, of themselves, make any noises. I can be so dumb sometimes. Frank was hyped up like crazy - all the people from our regular congregation were giving me, “What have you don’t to HIM?!?” looks.

Coloring books and crayons aren’t even a safe bet when byos are involved in boredom remedies! LOL!
Frank and James don’t usually interact at church. I don’t know what happened, but Frank was running in circles doing loud explosions before we even started, and it went downhill from there. No injuries or property damage, at least, and the service ran somewhat under an hour. Father Gary was making lots of mistakes, too ... he was obviously exhausted with services at 4:00 and 7:00 last night, then midnight, 9:00, 11:00 and 1:00 today.
Yes, I’m sure Father Gary was worn out. Is there only one priest in the Parish?
I’ve considered offering to serve as “guest lecturer” for church services.
I’m sure my sermons would be memorable.

Yes, Father Gary (that’s his last name) is our only priest. We have five Masses on a typical weekend, and he usually gets a substitute for one of them. Yesterday there was another priest (”Father A.J.,” a little Canadian gnome from over in South Carolina) for the off-site service at a high school. However, it was still a marathon for Fr. Gary.
He could probably have used a nap while Bob gave a sermon!
And I feel assured that he would have gotten a wake-up call afterward!
