A New York woman is being scrutinized and praised after people learned that she used a dating website to obtain $1,200 a month in free meals.
According to Business Insider, 23-year-old Jessica Sporty was deep in debt. Sporty had difficulties living on her $45,000 annual salary after spending nearly $1,500 a month in rent, paying her credit card bill, and buying food.
So she hatched up a plan and signed up with the popular online dating site Match.com so she could quickly go on five dates a week. Sporty even maintained a spreadsheet with detailed information on each of her dates, limiting each guy to a maximum of five.
Dates took Sporty to high-end New York restaurants, and one of her dates even bought her a $200 bottle of champagne.
Before I barely had enough money to pay for food, said Sporty. After using Match.com I found I wasnt going into debt anymore.
-snip-
As of today, Sporty is no longer on the dating website as she is currently in a relationship and most likely freeloading off her new beau.
It was exhausting, she said. I needed my sleep and I was done playing the game.

It actually reminds me of the Great PV, who would sneak into the kitchen while I was cooking, face the corner and nothing moved but his ears. He was invisible, you know, waiting for me to drop a morsel of food which would magically disappear before my very eyes.
I luv katz!
Had a teary night last night.
Was wrapping gifts and my Kearen wasn’t there to ‘help’ with the wrapping.
Or possibly a part time job on the weekends!!!,!
Gave her a chance to decide whether to whore with each one—depending on how big a spender, whether he bathes, that kind of thing.
Shannon keeps sitting by the refrigerator, insisting there’s a mouse under it. Last week she triumphantly killed a hairball that she pulled out of the exhaust vent, but we have yet to see a live rodent.
Elen and I have been wrapping packages this morning, but Jake thought wrapping paper sounded too much like paper bags and took off.
The three phases of Hollywood actresses careers:
1) Get me Jennifer Aniston
2) Find me another Jennifer Aniston
3) Find me a young Jennifer Aniston.
Jake Destroyer of Stuffs is afraid of bags?
“My paper bag armor will save me from the terrible Jake!”
Awwww....*HUG*
I still feel bad about PV, and he’s been gone for almost 30 years.
Tokyo Rose (blind) was afraid of plastic bags and the vacuum, mostly because her previous owners abused her with said items. This is the same woman who thought her Dalmation was stupid, but he was just deaf. People like that deserve a Special Place under the Rainbow Bridge.
Kearen would ‘help’ with the wrapping.
She’d sneakily gnaw an edge of the paper and then run off with the sheet you’d just cut.
My Kearen was terrified of thunder.
She’d been put into a burlap bag and tossed over the eight foot tall fence into the backyard of the Goshen Humane Society during a thunderstorm.
She didn’t like being picked up, and she was terrified of thunder after that.
Plastic bags are Jake’s main fear, but paper bags can sound plasticky, if they’re crisp enough. He likes to shred paper if it’s not in bag form, though ... he and Ash both do!
Never had a cat go bonkers fleeing from plastic bags.
Paper bags, yes.
But then they’d turn around and charge at the evil bag.
Shannon likes to lie on plastic bags, but Jake obviously had a bad experience with them before he came here. When I need to get him out of one of the top bunks, I pick up a bag and shake it.
Poor Jake.
Wonder what happened to him.
In front of an oncoming semi.
It can’t have been catastrophic, because he’s a big, healthy, confident cat now. I don’t remember where the cat-rescue person said he and his littermates were found. Maybe it was around trash-disposal.
Yeesh.
That would do it.
Yes - noisy, scary, lots of plastic. It’s not unusual for homeless cats to hang around restaurant dumpsters, because there’s food being thrown away, so maybe Jake’s mother had kittens near one.
Package arrived, will be put away until Christmas.
